CarGurus Overview

The 2008 Ford Mustang V6 Premium convertible offers drivers an expanded list of standard features and one of the best open-air rides available today. Under the long hood of the retro-muscular, rear-wheel-drive sports car, Ford dropped a 12-valve, 4.0-liter V6 engine that produces 210 horsepower. The engine links to a standard Tremec T5 five-speed manual overdrive transmission or an optional five-speed automatic.

A cloth convertible top provides the open-air driving experience. Standard features for the V6 Premium convertible include a power-adjustable driver's seat and a six-speaker Shaker 500 stereo system with a six-disc CD changer and an MP3 input jack.

New features for 2008 include an optional Ambient interior lighting package that enables drivers to choose from seven colors to illuminate the Mustang's front and rear footwells. Other features for 2008 include new side impact airbags and HID headlamps, as well as air conditioning, power windows and door locks, and power side mirrors.

Safety features include four-wheel disc brakes, a SecuriLock passive anti-theft ignition system, and dual-stage front airbags.

Ford also offers nearly a dozen upgrade packages for the 2008 Mustang, including Comfort, Appearance, Sport, and Color Accent packages.

This overview covers the V6 Premium Convertible trim only.
