I Love My Escape Hybrid! — Fast performance, awesome electric boost coupled with CVT makes the most of all the poweravailable in the drivetrain. Braking is a little sluggish, but not bad. Provided you know all the cornering tricks (i.e. accelerating around corners, etc) it handles great. Build very soldly, especially for the price. Some surfaces seem a little cheap inside, but for the price, fantastic considering the cost of all the hybrid drivetrain components. I haven't had any problems. Styling, great. Not your usual melted soap bar SUV. Interior styling is very inviting, especially considering the price. Fuel Economy? Don't believe 34mpg. I regularly get 36~37mpg and occasionally in late spring or early fall (70 ish degrees, moderate humidity) can get up to or a little above 40mpg. And, because it's a hybrid, you only have to chane the oil every EIGHT TO TEN THOUSAND MILES. Remember when replacing the tires to get EcoTrac tires, or you won't be happy with your fuel economy anymore. Don't know why, but it makes a HUGE difference.

Best Suv Hybrid Thus Far... — If you're looking for a SUV that gets your excellent MPG then FEH is the vehicle for you! I get combined average of 37.5 MPG. I go to the gas station about 2.5x a month which is awesome for our current gas price situation.

Very Efficient Cuz It's A Hybrid. Very Good Price For The High Quality. — It gets better gas mileage than toyota's highlander. It now has the Ford's SYNC technology and it is darn adorable.

Suv For The City Driver — Good gas mileage for city drivers. Styling is nice for it's time, however may deminish over time.
