2008 Chevrolet Colorado LS Trim Overview

The LS is the second-tier trim line for Chevy's light-duty truck. It is differentiated from the sparsely equipped Work Truck trim primarily by the availability of more optional features. At this level, buyers can add items like a CD/MP3 player, satellite radio, special paint, and privacy glass.

The Colorado houses a 2.9-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 185 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. A five-speed manual transmission is mated with this engine, while a four-speed automatic is optional. A 3.7-liter inline five is also available, which makes 242 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque. On the regular cab with the base engine, fuel economy is estimated at 18/24 mpg.
