2008 Buick Lucerne

The Buick Lucerne added a new Super trim in 2008, bringing the number of trims to 4.  Otherwise, this well-regarded luxury sedan stayed the same for the most part.  You have your choice among a 3.8 L, 197 hp V6, 4.6 L powertrain in the CX and CXL, a 275 hp V8 in the CXS, and a 292 hp V8 in the Super.
All trims have 4 doors and seat anywhere from 5-7 passengers.  In addition, all trims have front wheel drive.  The Super represents the premium edition of the Lucerne followed by the CXS, CXL, and CX in descending order of quality.  Keep in mind that the better the trim, the tighter the suspension you get.  The CX has cloth seats while the other 3 trims have leather.  Finally, gas mileage averages out to 19 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway.

Overall, the '08 Lucerne upholds the Buick name with dignity.  The solid V8, smooth ride, and comfortable interior make for a memorable driving experience.  However, the CX's sub-200 hp V6 will likely have you considering an upper echelon trim.  Despite any shortcomings, the 2008 Buick Lucerne looks good to go for 2007 and beyond.
