Pros

Great looking powerful 4 door family car that can act as a sports car or be a family car. Because it is a power focused car, its 3.5L V6 VTECH powered DOHC engine is very easy to mod and make it into a 300 HP+ road eater

Cons

I wish Acura would bring back the CL for this generation. The Type S comes with 256 foot pounds of toque which I wish could be a little higher but it could easily be brought up with an intake

Stylish Sporty 4-door — There really isn't anything I don't like about this car, its sporty, stylish, and has 4 doors. The engine is easy to mod and it is very reliable. In my opinion, the 2008 Acura TL Type S is one of my favorite 4-door cars of all time.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

A Real Looker, Good Daily Driver, Nice Tech Upgrades Over Accord — I really enjoyed driving my TL, and when it got stolen (d**n you thieves!!!), I realized I wanted something easier on the gas mileage and got a Ford Fusion Hybrid. However, for the 2+ years I owned this car, I constantly got compliments on the interior and exterior, and overall really enjoyed driving it. The Acura TL is a cousin to the popular Honda Accord platform, but adds a lot of technology upgrades to the mix including a 5.1 speaker surround system with DVD Audio (surround sound) capabilities, huge touchscreen, leather seats, and some nice exterior style that you can't get with the 2008 Accord. With the aggressive styling (and 286 HP / 3.5L engine), you might not get the best gas mileage in the world! I was able to get 30 mpg on the highway if I babied it, but city driving dropped to about half that (15-17 mpg); I normally averaged 20 mpg on a tank, but your mileage may vary, naturally. Finally, the fit and finish of the TL wasn't quite up to what a Lexus or BMW owner might expect; I found out how to fix the easy items (small squeaks and rattles). Be sure to get familiar with the online forums (look for TSB's / Technical Service Bulletins) on how to repair your own car, so the dealership doesn't charge you an arm and a leg for simple repairs.

Awesome — This car makes a great family car, it is safe and reliable. When the family is not with you, it makes the kid come out of you. You just want to find a back road and stretch the legs on the girl!

Pros

The 3.5L V6 creates 286 Hp and I belive around 260 ft pounds of torque, could be higher or lower not 100% sure, but from a deadstop, the torque steer is crazy and the quad exhaust rumbles,

Cons

Nothing I can say wrong about the TL yet

A Fun And Fast 4-door — I loved the handling, me and my dad would rip around the backroads by our house for hours and never get tired of the way this thing handles, and the Vtech crossover is godly with the quad exhaust. In the future, my dad says he is planning to eventually have full bolt on mods, starting with the Cold Air Intake, when he does mod it, I will update on it.

Great Performance With No Drama — this car is so worryfree, I need to remind myself to fill the gas tank every week or so. One of the best features---a cassette player (thankfully saved all my old cassettes). I bought the TSX in '04 and loved it, but needed a bit more room for family. The TL was te perfect choice.

Great Everyday Ride — good family car, but lacks fun factor. Great in winter with good tires. Excellent tech for price compared to higher end cars. Good room in back seat. Navigation is pretty accurate and standard backup camera is a plus. Overall great car for price and excellent reliabilty.

Absolutely Amazing — This is an amazing car that looks great and handles awesome. Powerful v6 engine that turns out over 260 hp. Very comfortable with great acceleration. The only con of this amazing car is the gas mileage which is around 21 city and 23 highway. I would give it a 5 out of a 5.
