2007 Mercury Montego Premier Trim Overview

The Premier FWD version of the Montego ramps up the comfort factor with some additional standard features. For starters, leather-trimmed seats are now standard, with heaters in the front.
Perhaps the most notable difference, though, is the option to upgrade to the Continuously Variable Transmission. Don't be mistaken - the standard 6-speed automatic is a treat, but the CVT (the first offering in this class, incidentally) beautifully combines efficiency with power and is a pleasure to have behind the scenes.
Other bonuses with this trim are the addition of a 6-CD changer and MP3 capability on the audio system, power-adjustable pedals, a rear storage compartment within the armrest, and a power-recline feature on the driver's seat, which is now adjusts 8 ways instead of 6. The wheels also are upgraded from 17-inch painted aluminum with seven spokes to 18-inch machined-aluminum with 15 spokes.
For options, technophiles will like the navigation system and Rear-Seat DVD Entertainment System. There's also a power moonroof, a Reverse-Sensing System, and 18-inch chrome-clad wheels with 8 spokes. You can also make the most of the Montego's best-in-class trunk space with the Cargo Management System.
This car has earned great crash-test ratings thanks to its structure and a full slate of airbags. The standard ABS and Traction Control do their part to help keep those crashes from happening.
