This Is A World-class Car With A World-class Ride! — This is a Boss Hogg car. It's all about room, storage, and comfort. No foot-wide center console here, just plenty of room to spread out. Acceleration is good, not great, considering this is a V-8 powered car. Passing power is great. Due to its Ford cousin being a cop car and taxi, everything on this car is heavy-duty. It can drive all day at 90 mph or battle traffic for hours on end. The trunk is huge, the seats wide, the comfort wonderful! Don't look for the latest technology on the MGM, but it has plenty of luxury features you'd expect on an entry-level luxury car. Tough as nails, if you keep up maintenance, this car will serve you for years without problems. Cost of ownership is moderate. Breakdowns are few, but window and lock switches are prone to typical Ford gremlins. 6 quarts of oil per change instead of the typical 4.5. Gas mileage is excellent for a V-8. 26-30 mpg on the interstate is typical. The MGM is fun to drive as long as you understand what you are driving. It is not a drag racer, and holds the road like a 4000 pound car, albeit a very well handling 4000 pound dog, and is great for overtaking! Plus, If yours is the same color as the local cop cars, you get to watch brake lights light up! If you don't need the latest style and toys, and want a big, comfortable, road going cruiser, this is the car for you. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Prospower to interior space, and the handling for its size and its damn near indestructable Conshard to find improvement parts for

Verrrry Reliable Car — 4.6 V8, 16 valve, about 230-240bhp top speed limited at about 113-114 mph, it handles extremely well for a car of its size and weight, and handles well at higher speeds as well (personnally tested). Being a large 4-door sedan it has plenty of room for friends or stuff. Bad thing is that personally its been hard finding performance parts built for a 16valve 4.6V8 because most performance parts are built for the 24valve in the Mustang GT or 32 valve in the Shelby GT/Bullet and so on and weight distrobution, the car is too light in the rear end, giving a lil less traction. Probly One Of Best Cars Ive Had In An While. — I like big cars and this was an good buy. I have had no problems and love to driveit, has good handlingand more than enough power . the trunk has a lot of room but the back seats dont fold down so limited to lenth of cargo.gets adverage gas milage for an V8. It would be an great car for traveling on long drives as it rides so smooth. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsI bought this car a bout a year ago for $12,900 with 32,000 miles on it. I've changed the oil twice since on this big car i only have to do it every 5,000 miles. Great ride, lots of room and cold air, warm in the winter, Easy to see others visibilty wish, just what a car should be comfortable transporation with style..... ConsNone that i can think of. I guess a could gripe a bit about gas milage I get about 17.5 in town and 23 on the hwy but for a big 8 cylinder i even think thats not too shabby

Great Car, Great Price, Great Reliablity And Saftey Can't Be Beat — If i wanted to be picky i could say i really didn't want a white car. But the color doesn't really matter much to the ride and the comfort. No one wants to scwunched up in little car for hours a day.Maybe if the commute was short it would be OK. But i have about a 30 to 45 minute commute and the comfort and price made this girl a great deal....AS Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsI'm 6'6" and I love a car I can ride in without my head resting on the ceiling ConsAbout the only "drawback" is the fuel mileage around town...

Awesome Ride. — For a large car, it is adequate for power. It's very solid. Ride is great, I love the newer interior design except I wish it had a separate clock on the dash like my older ones. Gas milage is decent for a large V8 car, especially on the highway. I enjoy driving it, especially with the rack and pinion steering over the older recirculating ball design. A Wonderful Family Car — i bought my 1997 grand marquis new, and have had it going on 10 years, at the time i also looked at the lincoln towncar.the lincoln was 11,000 more than the merc. almost identical except for the exterior sheet metal, same interior, drivrtrain. went to upper mich. last summer, averaged almost 25 miles to the gallon, the ride is still excellent. i will replace it one of these years, but it will me another grand marquis.
