Killer Performance In A Beautiful Package - Plus I Get Some Free Omaha Steaks — Test Drive in August, 2008, at the Pasadena dealership. More why the test drive later . . . All I can say is the performance of this car is quite breathtaking. The 400 Ferrari horses under the hood are chomping at the bit to be let go. The exhaust note is gutteral perfection. I WANT ONE - but, alas, I cannot. But at least I got to drive one. The stance is solid, the suspension is taut, and the steering is blissful prescision. On top of all that it has jaw-dropping appearance and exudes luxury few vehicles have. If I ever hit the lottery, one of these would be in my garage. The test drive we (Bobby joined me) were allotted was way too short, but it was a thrill. Bobby and I took turns driving. I only got it up to about 80 on the 210 heading west just past the Rose Bowl. On the return run, I think he got it over 100 as we exited the 210 at Orange Grove. Did I mention the exhaust note was pure ecstacy? I posted a video of the test drive on Youtube. Do a search for "rwhprod maserati" and it should come up. On the negative side, you have to get the car serviced at your local Ferrari dealer. Most likely the15,000 mile service runs around 2 to 3 grand. But if you can lay out 120k for the car, what's a measly couple of grand? Why the test drive - I received a postcard from Maserati where they offered a test drive. As a reward I would get a gift from Omaha Steaks. I figured, what the hell. I like hot cars and I love steaks - there you go. I finally sent in for the steaks. We grilled them - they were OK. Sorry, Omaha Steaks - I don't see what the big deal is. I have gotten better steaks at Costco. I would not buy anything from Omaha Steaks – I just don’t get it. On another note - I continue to lust for the Maserati, or an Aston Martin. Heck, even a GTR would be nice at 1/2 the price. UPDATE - The Pasadena Maserati dealership shuttered about a year ago. Now you have to go all the way to Beverly Hills of Calabassas to check out the new Tridents.

Maserati Quattroporte — It's really my mom's and not mine so yea. For a four door, it handles like a sports car and to me, it out does the s600. Fully loaded it costs $150,000 so in my opinion it is pretty achieveable. It definitely turns a few heads at the places we go.

Wow — It's an amazing car to drive...great response from the throttle and the steering...just an amazing car. The Italians know how to build some cars people. I suggest you rent one of these cars and take it to a winding road and step on the pedal. It's a beautiful car. It's a bit expensive, so I suggest to rent it and see what I mean.

Great But Not Perfect — beautiful car that wants to go fast, wout auto transmision it is not a good city or traffic car. the car can tend to feel like it is a pack of wild horses that you r fighting or holding back as they want to run fast - a love hate sort of thing. generates lots of stares and vip parking based on the lines, and incredible design.
