Pros

Great Handling, Fantastic Mileage, You can park it absolutely anywhere! and quite possibly the most fun car to drive on the road.

Cons

I have absolutely no complaints.

2007 Mini Cooper S — I could not be happier with my car. A MINI Cooper is a car for life. These things are practically indestructible! I can take turns going way faster *within the speed limit* than anyone else on the road. You can do so much more with this car because of it's low center of gravity and clever design of placing the wheel's at the very outer corners. The handling is incredible no matter if you get an automatic or a stick shift. It accelerates at a faster rate than you would guess because of a powerful engine and light chassis design. The styling of the new 2008s is slightly different than the 2007s *which is why I bought an '07 instead of waiting another month for an '08, the '07 is more attractive". The 2007s and later are also 2" longer than any previous year which provides that much more trunk space which is greatly appreciated in a car as small as this. If you're looking for a car with high mileage but don't want one of those nasty hybrids, a MINI is the car for you. I get 40 mpg on the freeway and around 32 in the city in an automatic. A stick shift gets between 3 and 5 miles more per gallon. The bottom line is this car is an over-grown, street legal go-kart that is incredibly fun to drive. But people with lead feet beware...THIS CAR CAN GET YOU IN TROUBLE!! Take if from someone who knows. ;D

Pros

Handling is superior to anything I have ever driven. This is a street legal go kart that makes commuting to work fun. Good gas MPG, and reliable engine (made by BMW) make this a great buy, no wonder there are Mini-Cooper auto clubs across the USA they know what a great car this is.

Cons

Space. Don't plan any camping trips or long road trips with this unless you naturally travel light. Cargo room once you drop the back seats is adequate for one person to move a few few things like luggage and a small pet but thats about it.

Cons

Great Car To Drive — I have one sharp car, that is fun to drive. Performance wise, it could use a few more horsepower (though that would probably get me in more trouble) As for appearances, it is a car that turns heads. So Far, cost of ownership has been fairly low as it gets good gas mileage and all maintenance is included in the purchase price.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons

It's Crazy Awesome — Most fun I have ever had driving a car. I would only wish a mid size SUV was made to handle as well as this car. The gas mileage is exceptional. Anyone who loves these cars should own one in their lifetime!! :)

Pros

EVERYTHING !!!!!! :)

Cons

you can't put a SUV quanity of itme in the car, but that wasn't what it was built for.  If you need a lot of room don't purchase the car and say bad things, be realistic.

Mini Review For The Common Person — Best car in it's class !!!! Mileage is 37 mpg, fit and finish is high-quality, preformance is OUTSTANDING !!!! I am 6.0 tall and built like a linebacker and the car is extremely comfortable fior a guy my size. I can put my whole family of 4 in the car comfortably. If you do a lot of driving and have a passion for cars or need a long-term daily driver vehicle that gets great mileage, is fun and will last a long time, you need this car. $500 down let's you customize the car to your personality and budget if it is not on the lot. Don't walk, RUN, RUN, RUN to the dealer and if you are in Kansas City go to Baron Automotive and ask for Liz, but most importanly tell them Bernard sent you. I need the referral fee, please.

Fun! — I love my MINI... it's a great car, lots of safety features, very fun to drive (I have trouble keeping it from my hubby!). It has great acceleration and believe it or not, handles great in the snow!! The convertible top is great and easy to use.

Pros

My "Rocket on a Roller Skate".  Go-kart handling, good fuel economy, well-built, custom-built from factory, massive brakes/stopping power,

Cons

ENGINE FAILURES-Mini's maintenance schedule for oil changes led to burnt exhaust valves.  Had to replace entire engine.  No support from Mini.  Low rev torque a little lacking.  Back seats not adult friendly for long drives (2+ hours).

Really Fun Car, Designed To Fail. — The 2007-2010 "S" models had several engine design flaws-carbon build-up due to design of direct injection, and timing chain guides leading to chain failures. The timing chain issue was addressed by a re-design of the guides, but because I had replaced mine early on (with Mini's original spec model), I did not qualify for the later recall and re-designed guides. My engine usually sounded like a sewing machine. The carbon problem was perhaps fixed with the re-designed engine in the 2011 and later models. Time will tell. I loved my Pepper White/Black Mini until it became a paper weight, due to the engine failure. I had the engine replaced by Helix Autosports in Philadelphia, PA, and received a 2-year parts warrantee from Mini with the new engine. The car ran better than ever with the new engine, but having to spend $7000 on a car with 73,000 miles after purchasing the $1250 extended service agreement from Mini was just out of line. Mini had maintained this car from day 1 until a month before the engine failure, but would not accept any liability for the catastrophic engine failure, which I believe was due to their improper oil-change spec and a poor design of the timing chain guides.

Excellent Car! Can't say enough. Handles fantastic, go-cart style. Plenty of power. Luxury where needed.

Cons

Not a family car, but that's not why you buy a MINI. There's not tons of cargo space, but again, that's not why you buy a MINI.

Put's A Smile On My Face Every Time I Drive It. — Everything about this car is fun and exciting. From the 6 speed manual transmission to the xenon head lights, there is not a bad thing I have to say about this car. The color scheme always catches the eye with the black top and black stripes. The amount of power and speed that you can get out this car is amazing, and STILL get greater than 30 MPG is awesome. This whole package is rare and perfect to drive around in style.

Fun — I bought this Mini new in 2007 and thought I would keep it for three years. It has been nearly seven years and I now plan to garage until my 16-year old daughter "deserves" it. I want a new 2014....

Pros

It is blast to drive. Love the sound of the turbo screaming when I get on it.  Handles like a charm. There are no dead spots. Car has personality inside and out.

Cons

Run flats on 17" wheels is harsh. Repairs are expensive

Mini Has Great Personality — Handling through curves and acceleration is exceptional. The car is exciting and looks cool. Good brakes. Seats are comfortable. Interior lighting is modern. On board computer is ok. Replace run flats with non-run flat high performance tires for a superior ride. Average mileage is 28mpg with mostly city hard driving. Body is sound. Over time there are little rattles that are annoying. Must watch the oil regularly (weekly), otherwise the engine will be garbage. Overall a great experience.
