Equipped with a 2.0liter, 140-hp I4 engine, the 2007 Kia Sportage LX 2WD I4 is the base trim in the Sportage lineup. It comes with either a standard 5-speed manual or optional 4-speed automatic transmission, and is a front-wheel drive crossover SUV. Though it has power locks, windows, and mirrors, the 5-speed version does not come standard with air conditioning.
Other standard features include ABS brakes, traction control, stability control, six airbags, a front and overhead console, roof rails, rear window wiper, and CD player. The rear seats fold flat, and the front passenger seat also folds for oversized cargo. Along with air conditioning, other available options include a cargo tray and a rear spoiler.

Unlike its 2WD counterpart, the 2007 Kia Sportage LX 4WD features four-wheel drive capability for wet and slick road conditions and some off-roading as well. This SUV has the 2.0-liter, 140-hp inline four and a 5-speed manual transmission. Different from the 2WD version, this Sportage trim does come standard with air-conditioning. Otherwise, most of the equipment is about the same.
Standard equipment includes power locks, windows, and mirrors, a split-fold rear seat that also reclines, ABS brakes, traction and stability control, six airbags, a roof rack, intermittent wipers, and a rear window wiper. The rear window and tailgate are manually operated and open separately. Cupholders are located in the doors in both front and back rows. As with the other inline-four LX, the 4WD version offers the option of adding a rear spoiler and a cargo tray.

A bit more engine power makes the 2007 Kia Sportage LX 2WD V6 a better performer on the road, particularly in the acceleration department. This front-wheel drive compact SUV with seating for five is powered by a 2.7-liter, 173-hp DOHC V6 engine matched with only a 4-speed automatic transmission. It has many of the same features as the LX I4 trims, such as power locks, windows, and mirrors, tilt steering, ABS brakes, traction, stability, and six airbags, front and overhead console, rear wiper, and intermittent wipers. But the LX 2WD V6 adds cruise control.
Rear seats recline and fold flat, for nearly 67 cubic inches of cargo space. The cargo area comes with tie-downs, and a cargo tray is an optional feature. Other options on the 2007 Sportage LX 2WD V6 include a new Sport Package, which offers fog lights, dark cladding and a black grille, a rear spoiler, sports gauges, keyless entry, leather trim, and an MP3 player. A tow hitch and remote start are other add-ons.

It features the 2.7-liter, 173-hp V6 engine and a 4-speed automatic. Sitting on 16-inch wheels, the 2007 Sportage LX 4WD V6 has two rows of seating for five people. Rear seats fold flat and the passenger seat folds as well, to pack in more cargo. The manual liftgate opens separately from the rear window, which has its own wiper.
Other standard features match what's in the LX 2WD V6, including power features, cruise control, CD player, front and overhead console, roof rails, and tilt steering. Ranked high for safety, this trim also comes standard with ABS brakes, stability and traction control, and front, front-side, and side airbags. A Sport Package option adds on fog lights, exterior accents, and a rear spoiler. You can also get a tow hitch -- the Sportage V6 is rated to tow up to 2000 pounds.

The EX adds on to the already existing power features, cruise control, overhead consoles, rear wiper, and tilt steering found on the LX trims, and upgrades it with leather covers for the shift knob and steering wheel, a trip computer, heated mirrors, keyless entry, a cargo net and cargo cover, power sunroof, and fog lights.
ABS is standard, as are traction and stability control and a tire pressure monitor. Dual front, front-side, and side curtain airbags make the 2007 Sportage EX 2WD safe and secure. A Luxury Package adds heated leather seats, CD changer, and auto-dimming mirrors. A rear spoiler, tow hitch, and remote start are other stand-alone options.
