Off Roader/ugly Step Child — Hey got a company car? Ever wanted to off road it? Well that was my job a gps operator in New England I drove over some of the most extreme road conditions ever and some time me and my co- worker who drove with me did not think we would make it. But hey the jeep liberty was nuts it mad it over some of the most extreme road I have ever seem our came with low range and a locking dif. with helped out huge. It did ok on gas for a SUV. Would not want it as an every day car but great for tough roads and off roading. In the photo I was alone on the job one day and went down a road that had not been in use for 5 years and I shortly found out why. I hit trees streams and stumps. The liberty made it over all. At one point I got stuck and turtle the jeep on a bolder during rock climb down a small ledge and got the jeep stuck. So im 50 miles out from any town and just filled the trunk with rock to add weight and then gunned it and lunched the jeep into a tree. But I got off the trail after 12 more miles of mud and ledges. GO JEEP!

I Absolutely Love Driving It. — Performance is outstanding on the 2007 Jeep Liberty. I will definitely buy another Liberty in the future. The style is "cute," but bold. It makes a statement. Definitely not a daily driver, but a weekend car, rather. I recommend buying the Limited Edition, as you will get all the goodies (leather/sunroof/etc)! The acceleration is outstanding for its weight. Has tons of power/torque, and there are so many upgrades that can be done to make the truck even more powerful. Very fun, but difficult, to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cheap 4x4 — If you needed a cheap 4X4 this was a good one to get. and no....It is not a rock crawler, its just a good trail SUV, and thats it. Even going to work in snow covered roads, puting it in part time 4X4 did a great job and held a nice strait line powering through the snow.

It's A Jeep. What Can You Do? — I'm not terribly impressed with the Jeep Liberty. For one, the seating configuration is awkward for anyone over 6' tall. Next, the gas mileage is terrible. And third, it is still a Jeep, through and through. That's something that can't be said for all of Jeep's newest models. In fairness, however, it is quite useful in inclement weather and light-duty off road situations. I can't be too hard on the gas mileage since it is a 3.7 liter six-cylinder in an SUV. I imagine for the right person, this vehicle would be perfect. It's definitely worth consideration.

Strongest Car For The Size — I love the car, is one of the best suv I drive, very strong, good handling, and with the rear seats down you wil get a lot more cargo space, good for the snow and off road, great also for long trips, I definitely recommend this car

Reliable Transportation If Maintained Properly — It's not a sports car, but it has decent acceleration. Brakes are good, but when they wear out, go aftermarket, since the OEM rotors are crap. Handling is a bit bumpy, but acceptable with good tires. Lots of room for cargo, unless you go camping. In that case get a roof cargo box or rack. I prefer the looks of the 07 and earlier Libertys to the newer boxy ones. It averages about 19 MPG mostly highway, but be ready for service costs. Most Chrysler transmissions require ATF +4 at $10 a quart, and you must use Mopar fluid, or you'll be buying a new trans shortly. This includes the so-called "Universal" crap, no matter which well known brand it is. Everything else is aftermarket compatible. Not much fun to drive, unless you're driving in snow or off road.

Great Little Jeep! — This is a good small SUV with nice styling and good performance. It drove with a full trunk and the 5 passengers for +1500km without faltering on our road trip as a rental! So much fun to drive, and very comfortable! I liked it!

2007 Jeep Liberty — Decent mileage (21 hwy). Relatively quick compared to others in it's class. A little small inside. Nice interior considering it's the base model. Good price. Never had any issues with it at 20,000 miles. No amount of snow seems to stop it!
