2007 Honda Element 2 Dr EX 4X4 Trim Overview

Before the introduction of the SC trim, the 4WD EX was the height of Element luxury. It's still pretty great, with all of the fine features of the 2WD EX plus Honda's Real-Time Four-Wheel Drive.
Real-Time should probably be called all-wheel drive rather than four-wheel, as it lacks a transfer case and the low gearing of traditional 4WD. Instead it�¢ï¿½?�?s a fully automatic system that constantly monitors each wheel for slippage, responding with the appropriate torque increase upon detection.
Honda gives highest priority to safety, and every Element trim comes with ABS, brake assist, and Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control. Front occupants are protected by three-point seat belts with pretensioners, plus dual-stage, dual-threshold front air bags, front side air bags, and side-curtain air bags with rollover sensors. Rear passengers get the side-curtain units as well.
The theme of the Element has got to be versatility, as it can be adjusted in any number of ways to carry what needs to be carried. The rear seats can even be folded completely up and out of the way!
The front upholstery is waterproof and easily cleaned, as is the urethane-coated utility floor. Cargo loading is a snap; the side doors are designed to open wide, as the smaller rear doors are hinged toward the back, and the tailgate window opens up and out. Seatback bungees are included to maximize management of cargo.
The 4WD gets another bonus in the form of a removable �¢ï¿½?�?skylight�¢ï¿½?� sunroof with tilt feature. It also comes with air conditioning, cruise control, and an upgraded audio system featuring 7 speakers (with subwoofer among them) as well as XM Satellite Radio and MP3 compatibility.
