The 2.4-liter engine provides more than sufficient power (166 horses) and can be mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission for those who don't mind paying a few more hundred to avoid shifting manually. Speaking of such convenience, cruise control comes standard.
Honda cares a lot about the safety of its customers and their families, so air bags (dual-stage front as well as side-curtain), ABS, and daytime running lights all come at no extra cost. Among the available options are premium interior trim, fog lights, spoilers, alloy wheels, and audio upgrades such as CD changers and an MP3 player.
The LX comes in 5 exterior colors with 2 choices for the interior.

A few more extravagances can be had when one opts for the Accord EX Coupe. At one step above the base model, it's still a fine choice for those on a limited budget.
The 2.4-liter, 166-horsepower engine is the same, as is the choice between the default manual transmission and the 5-speed automatic. The EX also includes the same array of safety features: anti-lock brakes, dual-stage front air bags, side-curtain air bags, and daytime running lights to increase the car's visibility.
What you stand to gain by choosing this trim is foremost the power moonroof, something that for some folks is a necessity. If you live in an area that gets any amount of snow or ice, you'll really appreciate the heated side mirrors that also come with the EX.
The other bonuses with this trim are there to enhance the driving experience from within, according to the senses of sight and hearing. Those are, respectively, the ambient console lighting and the upgraded audio system, which has a 6-CD changer and 6 speakers.

These features come in addition to the power moonroof, heated side mirrors, and upgraded audio system found on the regular EX. The other thing that's the same is the safety factor, as the EX-L also presents front dual-stage air bags and side-curtain air bags, plus anti-lock brakes.
You're still counting on a 4-cylinder engine for power, and it�s definitely sufficient for a car this size. Look for fuel economy of 26 mpg city and 34 highway.
Power windows, locks, and side mirrors are all standard. Another nice touch on this trim is the steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather. You�ll also get an XM Satellite Radio outfit with a sample subscription.

But the engine is the main focus, and its stats look like this: 3.0 liters, 244 horses, and 20 mpg city/29 highway. The LX V6 is available in automatic transmission only.
The amenities in this car range from a double wishbone front suspension to a power moonroof and illuminated cruise control and audio controls on the steering wheel. The exterior is gussied up with 17-inch alloy wheels and chrome finishers for the dual exhaust.

So you want a little more power with your higher dose of luxury? That's completely understandable, and the Accord EX-L V6 with automatic transmission is the answer.
The powerplant gets boosted to a 3.0-liter, 244-horsepower V6, and fuel economy dips to 20 city/29 highway. The other focus besides the engine is of course the luxury, and that list expands to include heated front seats, dual-zone auto climate control. For the driver's pleasure there's a leather-wrapped steering wheel and 8-way power-adjust on the seat.
As for technology, everyone gets to enjoy the XM Satellite Radio subscription, and the HomeLink integrated remote security system simplifies all-around security.
The EX-L V6's safety equipment begins with ABS with Electronic Brake Distribution and stability assist with traction control. Front and front-side air bags with side-curtain units boost the lifesaving factor very nicely.
