The 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup 3500 Sport Quad Cab adds a second row of seats accessed by junior-size reverse-hinged rear doors. This one-ton, rear-wheel-drive pickup comes standard with a 6.7-liter inline-six engine, paired only with a 6-speed automatic. Together they deliver 350 hp and a whopping 650 ft-lbs of torque at a low 1,500 RPM. The truck is available with a choice of either the 6.3- or longer 8-foot cargo bed, which can be outfitted with an optional cover, net, tiedowns, and bedliner. A roof rack is also optional for the 2007 Ram Pickup 3500 Sport Quad Cab. A tow hitch costs extra, but fully equipped, this pickup can tow more than 16,000 pounds.
The Sport trim mirrors the SLT in many ways. Standard features include a power driver's seat (a power passenger seat costs extra), power windows, locks, and heated mirrors, remote entry, cruise control, a trip computer, a security system, and a CD player. Along with the cloth upholstery, leather trims the steering wheel and shifter. More convenience-oriented items include tilt steering, a tachometer, intermittent front wipers, and a front power outlet. Both rows of bench seats split-fold, and an optional sliding rear window can be added. Legroom starts at 36.7 inches in the back, with 41 up front.
The pickup rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires. A full-size spare is standard. Traction and stability control are not available, but the truck does offer 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, dual front airbags, and seatbelt pretensioners. Side curtain airbags for both rows are optional. A tire monitor and foglights are included in the package, with the option to add an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a limited-slip differential. Other options add a navigation system, remote start, a 6-CD changer and satellite radio, leather seats, a sunroof, and power-adjustable pedals. On the outside, skid plates and running boards are also available.
