The 2007 Dodge Caliber SE is the basic model of the Caliber line. It comes with a standard 1.8-liter inline 4 cylinder engine, capable of producing 148 horsepower. Like most of its older brothers, the SE comes with a standard 5 speed manual transmission, which can be upgraded to the optional continuously variable transmission. The manual transmission gets 28/32 miles per gallon; the variable gets 26/30.
There aren't all that many features in the 2007 Dodge Caliber SE. It is, after the most basic of a rather basic line. Air conditioning and a CD player come standard. Power windows and locks, a leather steering wheel and leather seats are available options. Air bags come standard, ABS is optional. Economical and simple, the 2007 Dodge Caliber SE is a starting point.

There are two transmissions available: the standard 5 speed manual and the continuously variable transmission. The manual transmission gets a respectable 28/32 miles per gallon, while the variable drops slightly to 26/30 miles per gallon.
Inside, the 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT has everythng that you really need. Air conditioning, a CD player and power locks and windows all come standard. For options, the SXT has a sunroof, a leather steering wheel, a CD changer, leather seats, steering mounted controls, and tire inflation/pressure monitors. All around airbags are standard, with ABS, electronic brake assist, and a vehicle stability control system as safety options on the 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT.

The 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T is the top of the Dodge Caliber line. It comes with a 2.4-liter inline 4 cylinder engine with 172 horsepower. No manual transmissions are available here, just the continuously variable transmission. With the larger engine, the gas mileage of the R/T takes a hit, going down to 23/26 miles per gallon. This is also the only Caliber available with All-Wheel Drive.
Though the 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T is the king of this line, it is not extremely decked out. However, there are enough comforts for most people. Air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, a leather steering wheel, steering mounted controls and a CD player all come standard. Options include a CD changer, a sunroof, tire pressure monitors and leather seats.
