ProsGreat gas milage and easy handling. Cons5 speed could use a more powerful engine.

A Lot Of Car For Your Dollar. — This is a great car. It is a lot of car for your dollar. Has lots of little extras that come standard. The cool box in the glove compartment does work to keep cold beverages cold. The rechargable flash light in the rear dome light is a great addition. Seats are really snug and comfortable. The placement of the gear shift is very comfortable. The cell phone/mp3 holder in the middle arm rest is a nice feature as well. The fuel economy is great. View point while driving is nice because you sit a little higher than the average car in the same class.

ProsGreat gas mileage and sporty look ConsInterior a bit hard looking.
125
Dodge Sxt Caliber — Great little car, especially for gas mileage. Love the sporty look. Interior is a bit harder than my last car, but it is practical and easily accessible. For a car it's size, there is quite a bit of storage. Maintenance is low and I get about 27 to 31 mpg. For a 4 cylinder it has fairly good acceleration; slower when the air conditioner is on. It is a fun little car and I am glad I got it.

Proslow cost Conswould like better gas mileage

2007 Dodge Caliber — Although the mileage isn't quite what the sticker said it would be (for in town only - it exceeds highway estimate), it's not bad. For the price of the vehicle, it had the most "extras" and special features. It is extremely comfortable, even on very long trips, and very spacious for both front and rear passengers. I regularly have a 6'6" person in my back seat and he never complains about space. It's fun to drive, even though I'm used to a bigger engine, the 4 cylinders perform nicely, even on steep inclines. I would buy this car all over again!!!!!

ProsBold looks, gas mileage, brakes and suspension, stereo system, ground clearance ConsCVT transmission is too wimpy

Caliber Is An Awesome Ride! — I love the aggressive stance and the ground clearance of this car. I turn heads everywhere I go. Especially when I'm blasting my 470 watt STOCK (that's right I said stock) 9 speaker Boston Acoustics system. I HATE the CVT transmission though. I'll never buy another one again. If I had gotten this car in stick it would have been pretty fast. Great brakes though and awesome suspension. 120 mph. top speed isn't bad. (Yes, I've gone 120 in it.) Mileage isn't too bad either. I get about 21-23 mpg in the city, and about 25-29 on the highway. Depends how much of a lead foot I have. ;D I would highly recommend this car. (Just don't get the CVT transmission.)

2007 Dodge Caliber SE Review

A Great Car — Love the CVT - with no gears, the power is always there when you want it and it just smoothly moves up and down the rev band. We have two of them - the other is an SXT. I will get that model next time, as the SE leaves a few things to be desired like the bigger tires & touring suspension. They've added an SE plus which takes care of those issues, so it will be a possibility next time as well.

Its Cheap And If You Got A Turbo Charger And Friend To Install It For You Its So Much Fun =] — performance is adequate braking and handling are superb but you can only go so fast with with a sub 190hp engine this car is also pretty heavy if you drop a few hundred pounds this car would be fun no problems what so ever =] i think it looks tooo snub nosed and its too high lower it a bit and get bigger rims standard =\ its pretty fun to drive the high end torque is amazing (the CVT really shines then cuz it holds the engine at 6k rpm during all the accelartion) its a decent car how ever the interior needs a lot of work ! (is it a car or the inside of a plastic factory ?!?!?!) Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsBlack w /17" wheels goes "bling" when shined up Consslow acceleration

My Car — I like the unique look to my vehicle and it drives great in the snow. Overall, it's a good safe vehicle. The only thing I have an issue with is, it's a gutless pig! It accelerates slowly but it has a torque conversion transmission so it's supposed to be I guess :P I like to tear through the snow with it! |
