2007 Chrysler Pacifica Trims

4 Dr Base AWD

Avg. Price: $9,281

The 2007 Chrysler Pacifica receives a light styling refresh before entering its fourth model year. A redesigned front end is the only significant exterior change. A new MP3-compatible CD player and side curtain airbags are now standard features.

This Pacifica takes one step beyond the entry level model, by adding AWD. However, this addition brings more than just extra security on slick surfaces. All AWD models receive a larger engine and more refined transmission. Under the hood is a new 4.0 liter V-6, which produces 255 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. This potent engine is paired with a new six speed automatic transmission. All 4.0 Pacifica models have an EPA estimate of 16/24 mpg.

For a mid-size SUV, the Pacifica is quite capable for the long haul. Towing capacity is 3500 pounds, which is enough for a pop-up or a U-Haul. The base model offers the most cargo capacity. There is 92 cubic feet of cargo space due to the absence of the third row seat.

4 Dr Base

Avg. Price: $8,651

The front-wheel-drive base trim Pacifica is the entry point for this lineup of Chrysler SUVs. There are five other models to choose from, thanks to interchangeable drive trains and trims. For 2007, the Pacifica's front fascia has been restyled, and side curtain airbags become a standard safety feature. An analog clock is new this year in the base models.

This Pacifica is the only model powered by the old 3.8 liter V-6. All other models will get a new engine. The smaller V-6 serves up 200 horsepower, and is mated to a four speed automatic transmission.

The base model includes a new MP3-ready CD audio system, full power accessories, air conditioning, and keyless entry. This layout offers seating for five, while other models add a third row. The base Pacific offers the most in the way of cargo space, with 92.2 cubic feet.

The Chrysler Pacifica is a direct competitor of the Nissan Murano, Buick Enclave, and Honda Pilot.

4 Dr Limited

Avg. Price: $10,884

The Pacifica represents Daimler Chrysler's entry into the growing crossover SUV market. Unlike other crossover SUVs from Toyota and Honda, which are car-based, the Pacifica is built from the longer wheelbase Town and Country caravan platform. For 2007, the Pacifica undergoes a few alterations, highlighted by the addition of a new engine and transmission.

While the 3.8 liter engine has been retained for the base model, all others are now equipped with a 4.0 liter V-6. This larger power plant boosts the Pacifica's horsepower from 200 to 255. The 265 pound-feet of torque will allow for 3500 pounds in tow. A six-speed automatic transmission now offers further driving refinement.

While even the base model is considerably well-appointed, Chrysler's Limited trim can also be applied to this model. On top of features like keyless entry, power front seats, full power accessories, and air conditioning, the Limited adds a power rear lift gate, leather and wood trim, a six disc in-dash CD changer, automatic dual zone climate control, and a rear seat DVD entertainment system. The Limited trimmed models may also be fitted with a navigation system with a rear backup camera.

The higher trims add a third row of seating, which reduces cargo capacity from 92 to 80 cubic feet. Second row passengers now have bucket seats. Fortunately, the second and third rows both fold flat to allow for some additional flexibility.
