2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic 2500HD Overview

As the old saying goes, out with the old and in with the new. 2007 marks the end of production for the older generation Chevy Silverado 2500HD, so Chevrolet slapped the "Classic" tag on it to appeal to the sentimental consumer. With a whopping 46 trims, you'll have an easy time finding the right pickup to fit your needs.
This rugged truck has 4 doors and seats 6. Even more importantly, you'll get your pick of 3 heavy-duty engines: a 6.0 L, 300 hp V8 with 5 speed manual transmission, an 8.1 L, 330 hp V8 with 6 speed manual or automatic, and a 6.6 L, 360 hp V8. Short bed trims hold 26 gallons of gas while long beds hold 34 gallons. Towing capacity generally maxes out at around 12000 lbs.
Overall, the Silverado Classic 2500HD shines when it comes to capable powertrains and good towing capacity. However, as befits a "Classic," this model doesn't have quite the luxury and refinement we've started to expect from a domestic pickup. In any event, look for the new Silverado 2500HD to pick up where the Classic left off and take the lineup to new level.
