My New Work Horse Truck. Great All Raound Vehicle — Love the truck, dated interior and no Mp3 capabiity in a 2007 vehicle, come on....Nice sounding bose sytem though. Gas mileage, let's not talk about it.I hate the plstic dash, i wish it had the nice soft dash materials lke in other trucks. Chevy does make the best trucks and it's the only pick me up that a 5'8" guy like me can reach over the side and get stuff from the box all the other ones are too high. Loads of power, man does this truck cook on the higway. There is something to be said about a small block V8.

ProsComfort.....Ride....Ergonomical Interior.....Power.....Gas Mileage....Fit & Finish

Best Vehicle I've Owned In The Last 20 Years — Paint, comfort, ride, fit and finish is second to none. Add the TST finish from the dealer and you'll never wax this truck....dirt doesn't stick to it....always looks clean. Averaging 20.5 mpg on the highway with a constant 500 pounds loaded in the bed. The 5.3 engine is ballsy.......works hard though when towing 5000 pounds. Even though the interior is dated compared to some other manufacturers, this is the best ergonomically laid out vehicle I have ever owned! I noticed from the get go...in colder weather, the power steering was very stiff but ok in warmer weather......GM has a service bulletin to remedy this with a new power steering gearbox.....what a difference, super easy turning at ALL times now and improved/easier turning in parking lot maneuvering....the TSB number is 05-02-32-008B. GM doesn't voulentarily offer this information about the steering problem TSB upgrade......you must complain about it in order to have it replaced. Pass this info on to others if you don't mind!! Everyone who rides in this truck comments on the ride and beauty of it. Did have a squeaky driver's seat after 10 months of owning.....dealer remedied. Good Truck For The Money — Very nice truck for the money. This truck is decent in towing capacity. Not much room in the cab but it is a single cab.It has a good smooth ride decent power from a 4.3 liter V6 with a four speed auto transmision gas milage is about 20 to 25 MPG. The only thing this truck has been in the shop for is regular mainanence. The only thing i do not like about it is that it has a painted rear bumper and painted wheels and a base model radio. Great truck for only $16000.

ProsReliable, look good, nice ride. ConsGas mileage could always be better when you have a truck.

Great Truck Can't Go Wrong With This Body Style Of Silverados. — I love this truck its reliable never had a problem with it even though I put 30,000 miles on it the first year I had it. It runs great and gets better MPG then most think. I get 20-21 on the highway and 15 in the city. I put a PA in it to yell at people and got 15 percent tint so it rarely gets hot inside. Rhino liner is great and the toyo all terain tires make it a great ride.

Bad Choice — drivers window vibrates its self down enough tho keep a wind whistle any rough spot in the pavement will turn you side ways sorry gas mileage seat trim falls off sorry excuse for a base engine 4.3 5 speed any rise in the highway requires shifting to 3rd gear to keep traffic from blowing thier horn at you transmission whines grinds and whirs some numb skull had the fore though to include a 6200 pound towing package with this engine ha ha it can hardly pull its self i have a 93 ford ranger that will blow this truck off and get better gas economy all while having 200'000 miles on it and is alot more fun to drive Owner for 0 years, 2 months Miles Driven per Year:2,500

ProsGood looking truck rides good at low speeds and on smooth roads. ConsSteering wheel shakes at 45 to 55 MPH, Chasis rattles on every bump. Gas mileage sucks.

Gas Mileage Is A Joke If Not An Out Right Lie. — We tested the gas mileage in several ways but, keep getting the same results. In town, the best gas to the cheapest gas was only 12 MPG. On the Highway, our biggest accomplishment was at 17 MPG. General Motors said the estimated sticker mileage quote was just a theoretical statement. At 45 to 55 MPH the truck has this vibration and in curves at a lower speed it has this same vibration. If driven from payment to concrete or a bumpy road the truck will dance and shake.
