Chevy's LT1 trim offers buyers more creature comforts than the lower-level LS trim. The LT level also makes several new options available. Standard features include premium cloth seating, cruise control, privacy glass, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a CD/MP3 sound system with six speakers. Leather upholstery, heated seats and a sunroof are all optional here.
The addition of Chevy's 4WD system adds a two-speed InstaTrac transfer case with push-button controls. The 4WD Colorado models are also available with the Z71 off-road package, adding a torsion-bar front suspension with heavier-duty shocks, a locking rear differential, oversize tires, and skid plates. Fuel economy falls from 18/24 mpg to 17/22 on the 4WD.
This overview covers the LT1 4WD trim only.
