Great To Have — Comfortable driving ,heated seats, all wheel drive makes it a ease for winter/snow driving. Performance is great and smooth.Provides sufficient interior space for small families. Great navigation system and audio/ voice command recognition system. Nice and relaxing to have the moonroof view.

Pros

BMW has always been known to be European performance automobiles.  Handling is precise with a well connected feel to the road.  My 530i has tight steering with excellent turning capabilities from the taut suspension and steering ratio.  I cannot believe that I am getting such good gas mileage but it seems its near 30mpg on the freeway and 23mpg combined.

Cons

Cost of upkeep can be a challenge if you cannot source parts aside from the dealer.  I typically find parts cheaper online through the various wholesale European supply houses.

Bmw, Bmw, How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count The Ways. — I love the way the door goes "thunk" when I close it. I love the way the door opens when the key is still in my pocket. I love the way it starts with the press of a button. I love the way the sport seats grab me. I love the fact that my family is safe in it. I love the acceleration from 255hp and 220ft lbs of torque. I love the way you react to my input, quick and precise. I love the fact that this IS the mobile man cave. I love the fact that my BMW tech DOES NOT charge an arm nor leg for repairs. I love it that you light the way for me in the dark while driving and exiting the car at night. I love the way you make me feel when I ensconce myself upon the driver's seat, safe and secure.

Pros

At the very first look you can see that it is very stylish and great power. Has 255hp and the sport package adds another 20hp. Courtesy lighting is cool with path lighting and mirrors assisting parallel parking. This definitely is a dream car for many.

Cons

The back seat may use a little more leg room. Price and maintenance cost is high

Dream Come True — I liked - Pick up (it is just amazing normally and sport mode is just untouchable) - Luxury (driver and passenger seats have been designed very well as to make you feel comfortable but not forgetting about giving some driving experience - The passenger side mirror tilts and assists the driver for parallel parking which is a great thing specially in California where parallel parking is highly used.

Cons

BMW sucks!

Handles Well, For The Ride My Mercedes Is The Best! — Picked it up in Munich and drove it to Salzburg, Praque, Budapest and Vienna before having it shipped back to the US. It took two months to get here and I had it for six days. The a chip went bad and it sat in the shop waiting for the chip to be shipped from Munich for A MONTH before I got it back. BMW was like "no big deal", so I would never recommend a BMW for this reason.

Black Bimmer — Best car I have ever owned... durability, performance and handling are hard to beat with this or any BMW... The exterior and interior are still in showroom condition even after 106k miles... I drive 60 miles roundtrip 5 days a week to work... and have never been disappointed with the feel and performance of this great BMW...

Conservative Yet Sporty — I love the look, power and fuel efficiency of this vehicle. It could be classy yet sporty at the same time. The gas mileage was great for long trips with plenty of trunk space for luggage. Overall this is a great car for all ages.

Pros

Nice looks, sporty drive, no lag when pushed from one gear to another, great handling, extra bucketed seats,

Cons

iDrive sucks - and navigation system lack alot of informative functions and cost $1800-- it's better to buy TOMTOM or anyother portable navigation system which will cost cheaper too.

My Bimmer — I love my Bimmer, it is fuel efficient give 23mpg combined. This year model produce 255hp which is more than enough in US where law prohibits street racing, but if you get newer model you can get upto 300hp with twin turbo which is much faster. Fun Factor is if you get this car with proper packages you would love it when seats hugs the driver/ passenger when they put on their seat belts. Quality of car and ride is sporty - i have driven this car at really high speed and have enjoyed. Must get it with ACTIVE Steering package. you would love every corner you make in your life there onward :)

Great Driver's Car — I don't like the way the throttle hesitates when taking off after a brief stop - like at a stop sign. However, the car never ceases to amaze me when accelerating on the highway. It just won't quit. Passing trucks on a two lane highway at any speed is accomplished with confidence. Also, the mpg on the highway is amazing for a car of this size, weight and power. At sustained speeds of 75 mph I average 32 mpg. One other pet peeve is that I cannot understand how a car that has navigation and knows where you are via satellite communication cannot set its own clock! If it knows where you are it certainly ought to know the time.

Pros

Great looks, very comfortable, great leg room in the back seat.  Very comfortable, sporty and good sound system from the factory.  Bluetooth, aux-in, automatic wipers.

Cons

Aux-in in the back seat for some reason.  The repairs and maintenance are more costly than an american car.

Great Daily Driver — I would recommend the 5-series to anyone looking for a good value in a luxury car. The ride, handling and looks beat all the Japanese luxury models in my opinion. The reliability has been fantastic. Maintenance costs are higher because BMW dealers overcharge.

The Perfect Family Sports Sedan — I am amazes by my longevity with this car. I have been a life-long "car trader" with over 65 cars in my history. I have 100,000 miles on this BMW and would not consider selling. I have had 12 BMWs and this is my favorite by far.
