CarGurus Overview

More passenger room and a lot more luxury are hallmarks of the brand new 2007 Audi Q7 4.2 quattro, an upscale crossover SUV with emphasis on comfort and safety.  With quattro all-wheel drive, it is also versatile, and features up to 72 cubic feet of cargo space.  The 20007 Q7 4.2 quattro comes standard with three rows of seat for seven passengers.  Both second and third rows fold flat and the second row also reclines.  A 32-valve, 4.2-liter, 350-hp DOHC V8 powers this crossover, matched to a 6-speed Tiptronic transmission.  A limited slip differential helps with handling.  Hill Descent Control, traction and stability, ABS brakes, xenon headlights, mirror turn signals, dual front-side and all-row head airbags, a tire monitor, rain-sensing wipers, and dusk-sensing headlights are a few standard safety features.  Rear side airbags are optional.

The 2007 Q7 4.2 quattro upgrades the 3.6 quattro with a trip computer, sunshades, folding mirrors, garage opener, electrochromatic rearview mirror, 2-driver memory settings, and Bluetooth.  This is in addition to 8-way power front seats, leather upholstery, a 6-CD changer with controls on the steering wheel, power everything, a power liftgate, and cruise control.  The S-Line Sport Package adds 21-inch performance tires and sport seats.  Also extra is adapative air suspension, adapative cruise control, heated front and second row seats, 4-zone climate control, a 3-panel panoramic sunroof, and satellite radio.  Drivers report that the third row is cramped and gas mileage less than stellar, but love the smooth quiet ride, comfortable interior layout, and MMI interface.

This overview covers the 4.2 Quattro trim only.
