The mid-size A4 is Audi's entry-level sedan. Though it seats four, the backseat legroom is somewhat limited. There are few changes this year to the 2007 Audi A4 2.0T, a front-wheel drive sedan with a 2.0-liter, turbo I4 that hits 200-hp and comes with either a 6-speed manual or CVT smooth-shift auto transmission. The 2007 A4 2.0T sedan sits on 16-inch wheels and comes standard with ABS brakes, dual-front side and front and rear head airbags, traction and stability control, fog lights, and a security system. Rear side airbags are optional, and a new option this year is a tire monitor.
Along with safety, Audi prides itself on upscale comforts, and the A4 2.0T sedan offers full power features, including an 8-way power driver's seat. Both front seats also have power lumbar support. Heated mirrors, dual-zone climate control, 6-CD and MP3 player, leather and alloy interior trim, and cruise control are standard. A trip computer, heated front seats, and navigation system are optional. Option packages include the sporty S-Line (sport suspension, shift paddles, brushed aluminum, and 18-inch wheels), Premium (a sunroof, leather seats, and 17-inch wheels), and Convenience (auto-dimming mirrors, xenon headlights, and remote garage opener). Drivers seem to like the safety and quality build inside and out of the 2007 A4 2.0T sedan, but feel the backseat is too small and that there is some turbo lag.

Audi's superior all-wheel drive technology is found in the 2007 Audi A4 2.0T quattro sedan, combining luxury and safe, confident handling a personal mid-size sedan. It is powered by the 2.0-liter, turbocharged, 200-hp I4 engine and quattro-all-wheel drive with limited slip differential. A 6-speed manual or 6-speed Tiptronic are the available transmissions. Top safety features include dual front-side and front and rear head airbags, ABS brakes, traction and stability control, fog lights, and a security system.
The 2007 A4 2.0T quattro sedan has all the same features as the front-wheel drive version, with a power driver's seat, power lumbar support, power accessories, cruise control, heated mirrors, first aid kit, dual-zone climate control, 6-CD and MP3 player, and leather and alloy trim. Rear seats split-fold to expand the trunk to 13 cubic feet. New options include heated seats and a trip computer. Various packages add a sports suspension and 18-inch all-season tires, leather upholstery and power front seats, a sunroof, navigation system, rain sensors, rear side airbags, Bluetooth, and satellite radio. Great power, great quattro, and precise steering and handling are highlights for owners of the 2007 A4 2.0T quattro sedan. Negatives include a cramped backseat, turbo lag, and an inconvenient armrest location.

A step up in horsepower and luxury is found in the 2007 Audi A4 3.2 sedan. Equipped with front-wheel drive, the mid-size personal luxury car was fueled by a 3.1-liter, 200-hp DOHC V6 and 6-speed CVT. The continuously variable transmission would shift imperceptibly between gears. ABS brakes, traction and stability control, fog lights, and dual-front side and two rows of head airbags were standard. The 2007 A4 3.2 sedan rode on 17-inch tires, rather than the 16-inch on the 2.0T.
It has all the same power features, cruise control, heated mirrors, keyless entry, 6-CD/MP3 player, and dual-zone climate control of the 2.0T, but the 2007 A4 3.2 sedan adds a sunroof,8-way power dual front seats with lumbar support, shift paddles on the steering wheel, and wood cabin trim along with the leather and alloy trim. Rear seats split-fold, and there are reading lights for the both back and front rows. Legroom in the back can be cramped, and the folding armrest up front can get in the way of the parking brake and cupholders, say drivers. Options include a parking sensor, sport suspension with all-season 18-inch tires and brushed aluminum trim, heated front and rear seats, memory settings, a navigation system, satellite radio, rear side airbags, and a tire monitor.

With the same 3.1-liter, 255-hp DOHC V6 engine as its front-wheel drive counterpart, the only distinguishing feature of the 2007 Audi A4 3.2 quattro sedan is a big one -- superior all-wheel drive handling and road-hugging performance. The quattro system comes with a limited slip differential, and transmission choices range between a 6-speed manual or 6-speed Tiptronic with manual-like shifting.
Otherwise, it is identical to the non-quattro 3.2, offering ABS brakes, traction and stability control, fog lights, anti-theft system, and dual front-side and two-rows of head airbags. Rear side airbags are optional, as is a tire pressure monitor. Full power features, including power front seats with lumbar support, cruise control, shift paddles, leather upholstery, a 10-speaker 6-CD audio system, heated mirrors, and a sunroof are all standard. The S-Line Package adds a sport suspension, 18-inch tires, and different fascias. Other packages add heated front and rear seats, memory settings, satellite radio, navigation system, auto-dimming mirrors, xenon headlights, and parking sensors. Owners like the power, road handling, and quattro performance of the 2007 Audi A4 3.2 quattro sedan. They don't like the small backseat.

The 2007 Audi A4 2.0T Cabriolet is a front-wheel drive convertible version of the mid-size A4 sedan. It finally gets the 2.0-liter turbocharged, 200-hp I4 engine this year and is available only with a CVT, continuously variable transmission which provides seamless shifting. Also new on the 2007 A4 Cabriolet 2.0T are new anti-rollover pop-up bars.
The removable top is power-controlled. A rear window is made of glass and comes with a defogger. Audi interior touches include power windows, locks, and heated mirrors, power lumbar support for both front seats, keyless entry, a trip computer, 6-CD player with MP3 playback (with controls on the steering wheel), dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and leather and alloy cabin trim. ABS brakes, traction and stability control, fog lights, and dual front-side airbags are standard safety features. The 2007 A4 Cabriolet 2.0T gets decent mileage, at 24/30 mpg. Options include an S-Line package that adds sport suspension and 18-inch wheels, and Premium and Convenience that added auto-dimming mirrors and remote garage opener. Heated seats, Bluetooth, navigation system, and tire monitor are other options.

Quattro all-wheel drive capability makes the 2007 Audi A4 2.0T Cabriolet quattro stand out from its front-wheel drive sibling. The power top convertible with seating for four has the 2.0-liter, turbocharged, 200-hp I4 engine that has been in the sedans and wagons for two years now. In the Cabriolet, it is paired only with a 6-speed Tiptronic auto/manual transmission. ABS brakes, traction and stability control, fog lights, dual front-side airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels, headlight washers, and new anti-rollover pop-up bars are standard.
Inside, the 2007 A4 2.0T Cabriolet quattro is much the same as the front-wheel drive convertible, with power features, power lumbar support, cruise control, keyless entry, a trip computer, dual-zone climate control, 6-CD changer with controls on the steering wheel, and leather and alloy interior trim. A navigation system, tire monitor, and Bluetooth are some stand-alone options. An S-Line package adds a sports-tuned suspension, unique fascias, and 18-inch wheels. Other packages give you heated leather seats, auto-dimming mirrors, and xenon headlamps. Drivers feel the ride is refined and the interior comfort top-notch. Quattro decreases fuel economy, but provides a lot of confidence.

This year, the A4 convertible gets the same engines as the sedan and wagon. The 2007 Audi A4 3.2 quattro Cabriolet is powered by the 3.1-liter, 255-hp DOHC V6 and comes with a 6-speed Tiptronic auto/manual transmission. Riding on larger 17-inch wheels, the 2007 3.2 quattro Cabriolet also features all-wheel drive. The insulated power soft top also has a glass window and is useful in different seasons. New this year are pop-up anti-rollover bars. ABS brakes, traction and stability control, fog lights, dual front-side airbags, and headlamp washers are standard. Gas mileage is significantly lower on the 3.2, at 19/27 mpg.
The 2007 A4 3.2 quattro Cabriolet adds a bit more standard equipment to what you get with the 2.0T. This includes a temperature display, 8-way power front seats with power lumbar support, leather upholstery, shift paddles, and wood cabin accents. Cruise control, dual-zone climate control, a 6-CD changer with MP3 capability, and a trip computer are all standard as well. An S-Line package adds sports suspension, brushed aluminum, and 18-inch wheels. Other packages offer sports seats, upgraded leather, memory settings, xenon headlights, parking sensors, satellite radio, Bluetooth and a tire monitor. Drives praise the quiet top, quattro performance, and the engine power, but don't like the interior ergonomics.
