CarGurus Overview
The 2007 Aston Martin DB9 returns with no major changes from the previous model year. However, the DB9 is a totally different car from its DB7 predecessor, and it is the first model to be assembled at Aston Martin's revolutionary new plant in Gaydon, England. This coupe is one of two available models for 2007, along with the higher priced Volante convertible.
The hand-built DB9 is the first aston Martin to be built on the lightweight bonded-aluminum chassis, which was specifically designed for this grand tourer. The result is an exceptionally light body with tremendous power reserves. The 6.0 liter all aluminum V-12 provides 450 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, which can be sent to the rear wheels through either a six speed automatic or sic speed manual transmission. While the 3769 pound DB9 is launched from 0 to 60 in just 4.7 seconds, the light weight also greatly benefits the overall handling and agility of the car.
The feature list is what you might expect to find below an $150,000+ price tag. The DB9's hand-trimmed interior is rich with leather and one of four wood finish choices (walnut, mahogany, piano black or bamboo). The presentation is one of simple and uncluttered elegance, but a myriad of luxury and convenience features are concealed within. The DB9 comes equipped with a satellite navigation system, full memory functions, a premium 128 watt Linn audio system with a six disc auto-changer, power-folding mirrors, and a tire pressure monitor. A 950 watt audio upgrade with Dolby Pro Logic II is also available.
Since the DB9 is hand-built, it is eligible for a high level of personalization. Through what the British call "bespoke tailoring, " buyers can have their coupe or convertible made to order.
This overview covers the Coupe trim only.
