Love It — Great car to take on long trips very comfortable and a very smooth ride. Feels like u r in a tank, very well built. Cabin is a little small but nothing to really be concerned about. Overall best car we have ever owned. Primary Use: Family transportation

Safety, Size, Equipemnt, Flexibility And Power If Only The Fwd Had Some Grip !! — Volvo are renowned for their safety and as far as i can tell the car delivers, big thick doors, DSTC aka traction control/dynamic stability and a few more in there anti rolling etc and the thing doesn't cut in to early or to late and is unobtrusive same goes with the EBD ABS it will let the wheels chirp just abit before either ABS or traction control cut in to save the day, airbags EVERYWHERE (and volvo's SIPS, side impact protection system) it is the only car in it's class to have airbags that cover the rearmost seats) and power a plenty (in the 5 cylinder turbo (intercooled) model) and the V8 is quicker again so no drama overtaking, the 5 speed gear box shifts nicely does though have a tendency to hunt for gears and with the turbo cutting in and out can make for some clunky gear changes and the manual mode gears are the wrong way around (push up/forwards for + and down/back for -), but it copes well enough. The engine sounds nice (5 cylinder is odd) however it isn't fantastic on fuel (I average around 16mpg however it is all city driving in LA traffic) and it has a small tank, meaning a small range, which means your always filling it up. It also has a rather large and oddly placed blind spot that take some getting use to , it is very well equipped auto headlights, auto wipers, dual zone climate control, sunroof, leather and rear parking sensors* option there are also alot of clever features such as heated side mirrors the outside glass is also coated with a film that repels water the recirculate (air in cabin) can be put on a timer, and the 7 seats can moved into any position imaginable great family car! The Relatively Lame Gas Mileage (19/24) Is Offset By The Overwhelming Positives — While acceleration in this 5-cylinder turbo will not snap your neck, it holds it own wrt performance, quality, appearance, cargo capacity, passenger comfort, low cost of ownership and 5 stability control systems for safety. And, yes - its fun to drive. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

If You Have A Large Family And Like Driving Nice Cars...this Fits. — Great acceleration with OK braking. No repairs thus far. Great styling. Mileage not great, but it is a V8 SUV. Would buy again, just let someone else drive off the depreciation. If you wait 2-3 years you get almost half off. Primary Use: Family transportation | ||

For People That Want A 4x4 With Space & A Big Bank Account — Fabulous car. Great engine in it, fantastic BHP in it. Build is great, lots of space. Smooth driving as if on fresh tarmacadam. Cost of ownership is expensive as the road tax is 2100e a yr. Engine efficient on Diesel, car comes in 7seater. Very comfortable, doesn't feel as if your driving a tank. Drove For A Year, Loved It! — I drove this car from January 2006-January of 2007. This was an extra car that my parents owned, and I enjoyed driving it for the time I did. Amazing handling, incredible gas mileage. Bought new Ford Fusion in 2007, but sometimes drive this car still. | ||

Great Safe Good Sounding Car — Everything is great about it except for the fact to get it fixed is very expensive. The sound system blows me away every time I turn it up. But so does the amount of gas this car uses. I recommend this car for families of 4 or 5 no more. Car doesn't have very good leg room. Primary Use: Family transportation | ||

Very Safe And Reliable Car — Interior is more luxurious than I gave it credit for. Very spacious interior. Front and back seats slide to adjust for legroom. Big cargo space can hold bike and or tons of baby/child for longer trips. Small/medium sized adult can sit between two car seats in the backseat. Primary Use: Family transportation | ||
