Great Car To Own. — I really like this Passat. Over the years I have had a lot of German cars and this is one of my favorite cars. Has an economical engine and it is still fast. Highly would recommend it to anyone. +1

Wow! Fast Like Formule 3 With This Turbo Engine And Economical. — I like everything on this car, however for my needs I like more hatchback over sedan. This car has very roomy trunk with capability to flip seat to increase cargo space. Seats are very comfortable and stylish leather. Germans in Volkswagen company knows how to build a fast ,economical and powerful car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Everything , this car was great , speed, look , style , no damage done to the seats , a few scratches on the rear passenger side fender , and a bb gun size dent on the rear passenger side door , other than that runs really well.

Cons

no sun roof, to drain the oil and replace the oil filter is a pain in the ass , it underneath the car but after a few months you get used to it.

Great , Couldn't Ask For Anything Else — driving this car on rugged roads, felt like you were driving a truck with amazing suspension, you feel nothing , its a quiet car, if you were to speed up you would hear that powerful 2.0t engine accelerate smoothly and quietly , Gets you were ever you need to go fast and comfortably. overall this was a great car and i really miss it after my accident it kept me safe without a scratch on my body and i would love to thank volkswagen for that , I'm currently searching for a newer model as we speak I'm very impressed with the new look and would be satisfied with it.

Passat. The Love Of My Life...! — The Vw Passat is simply an amazing car. The 3.6 4Motion version is comfy, quick and spacious, as well as very safe both for the occupants, and driving-wise. The 7 speed DSG gearbox is a joy to use, and the 4Motion system makes it chew through ice and gravel. Simply an amazing car.

Offers Not Enough For The Amount Of Money One Pays. — Overall, this car was not worth anywhere near the amount of money that was paid for it, especially considering major problems right before/after the vehicle was paid off. Replaced turbo & catalytic converter for 1,700, now trans out! Outrageous! I thought in purchasing a Volkswagen I would be driving it for many years to come, however now my vehicle is sitting in a mechanics lot as I can't afford to spend 2,800 for the trans work. Have to sell it for parts as it's a money pit. This is a huge loss in this day & age where every penny counts. Don't understand why many folks claim good gas mileage when this model requires 91octane (which can no longer be found where I live, so used 93). Also, the peeling of the interior where all the control buttons are located made the vehicle appear cheap which is an extremely bad feature for a luxury car. Highly disgusted with this VW experience.

Pros

Has plenty of power for a 4 cylinder turbo. Runs smooth and suspension rides very comfortably. The cargo capacity is very spacious and the rear seats fold down to allow for longer items to be transported. Excellent gas mileage in town and on the highway. Stereo is great and has been upgraded to a pioneer dvd unit.

Cons

Door lock and window switches have defective factory paint that peels. Not a fan of the SMART key. Have to use VAG-COM to reset electronic parking brake

Fun Car To Drive, Gas And Family Friendly, Plenty Of Get Up And Go! — I liked this car for the fact that out of small engine it has lots of power. You can feel the turbo kick in and it's a fun feeling. There is a six speed automatic. It has a great tiptronic manual shift mode. The gauges and instrument panel is a cool red and blue color. I was able to set the stereo to match this theme. The leather seats are comfortable and have held up very well. All four windows roll all the way down and all the way up with a single click of the switch. There are two vents for the people in the back of the car to adjust the air that they get or close the vents. For a basic type of car, there are a lot of luxury features in this car that sets it apart from the everyday sedan.
