Get A Tacoma And You Will Not Be Dissapointed! — I have had this truck for about a year and have LOVED every minute of it. Has a lot of power and drives perfect. It gets an average of about 18.5 mpg. The four doors give you plenty of room in the back for your family and is very comfortable on long trips. It does have a few small squeaks and rattles but nothing too bad. I LOVE MY TRUCK!!

Sweet — Towing Capacity is great for a V6. Excellent acceleration. Very fun to drive. She's a weapon! I wish it had leather seat tho. Interior kinda itchy. Stereo system is mediocre. Great gas mileage. I love the TRD Package. Go buy one!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

2006 Toyota Tacoma — i was skeptical about buying a Toyota at first but when i test drove this i knew it had to be my next ride. there is so much you can do with this truck because its small yet very powerful. the only thing else i would buy except this would probably be a tundra.

The Perfect Pick-up For Someone Except For...... — This truck was awesome for the 7 years that I owned it. I honestly didn't have a desire at all to get rid of it because there wasn't another pickup truck out there that I felt was more reliable nor had the style like a true truck should be. Most of the other models went with more of a plastic frame and my 2006 still had the metal body with chrome bumpers (even toyota switched to plastic shortly after). I truly loved this truck until... until the rust on the frame started to become noticeable. The truck was kept in my garage during the winter months and it still had notice rust all on the frame. My wife's CR-V, which is only a year newer, has NO rust and looks brand new. The kicker is that Toyota KNOWS there is an issue but pretty much tells their customers that they are out of luck. There are many forms online that speak of this problem and some of the horror stories are awful. There are cases where 2006 Tacoma owners have had to scrap their trucks because they would not pass the yearly state inspection in PA. There is no way this should be happening with a Toyota product that is only 7 years old. People purchase them for their reputation and the fact that they hope to keep them for 10+ years. Toyota acknowledges the fact that there is an issue but have declined to take responsibility for any model newer than 2005. They had a program in place a couple of years ago to either replace the frame on older models or give the owners 150% of blue book value for their trucks. It is really disappointing that they didn't stand up and take care of all of their mistakes. Other than that though the truck truly was amazing. There are also many people who have this model and have not seen any rust (they just don't live on the east coast). I highly recommend the truck for those in dry areas or in the southern areas. just please keep in mind that if you life on the east coast it is really important to get it inspected before you purchase it and then get an undercoating applied to protect your investment.

Very Reliable Truck — This truck overall did what it's supposed to do. Capacity of 5 people with a whole entire bed to load up to head out to the Beach or Picnic. Does great in the snow with it's 4x4 mode. Very good handling on the highways.

Reliable And Sporty — I liked the look and feel of the truck when I purchased. Very sporty looking and yet close to the feel of a car. When I was shopping for a car or truck to buy my husband, a friend recommended that I check out the Tacoma. She had this truck in California and loved it. Never dies! She was right. This has been the most reliable, easy to maintain vehicle I have ever owned.

Love It! — This truck was my daily driver/family car/work vehicle. I used this to take the fam on trips, move numerous family members, haul dirt/tan bark/lumber etc for home projects and everything else that you would buy a truck for. I never had to replace anything or put it in the shop for an extended period of time. Just normal maintenance. Love this truck!

This truck is a sports car wrapped in a pick up body, it handles exceptional on dry and snow/icy roads. The stock JBL sound system is perfect by today's standards and as long as you keep up on routine maintenance it will see 300,000 miles easy.

Cons

Back seat space is somewhat small but its great for kids or short trips.

Best Truck I've Owned!! — More like what didn't I like. It truly is the best truck I have ever owned. Ive had Power Strokes, Duelies, GMC etc and the Toyota Tacoma tops them all. Easy to maneuver, park, it goes through winter conditions like a boss. Selling it is a heart break but getting my teen into an econ car forces the sale.

Very Good For The Use — I am living in cambodia. tacoma is the perfect car for here. For Transport, Family and Leisure. We us it for visiting the province with the 4x4 and picking up people on the airport. Transporting our Catering stuff and Kitchen.
