CarGurus Overview

The Toyota Sequoia is carried over for 2006. Toyota has not done much with the Sequoia since its 2000 introduction, aside from a minor mid-cycle update three years ago.  This is Toyota's largest SUV, and the SR5 models offer spacious seating for eight passengers.

The Sequoia is priced in the Land Cruiser ballpark: even this entry level SR5 will cost over $30,000.  Standard features are similar to that of the Lexus GX and LX SUVs, including dual zone climate control, power windows and locks, power down rear window, a six speaker CD audio system, and a noteworthy ten cup holders.    A DVD-based navigation system can be added to both trims.

The sole power plant option is a 4.7 liter V-8, supported by Toyota's i-FORCE system. Thanks to this technology, the 273 horsepower and 314 pound-feet of torque engine has lower emissions.  The Sequoia the first SUV to earn the ULEV ultra low emissions rating.  Fuel economy is what one might expect for 270+ horsepower pulling 5000 pounds: 15/18 mpg.

This overview covers the SR5 trim only.
