2006 Toyota Highlander Sport V6 AWD Trim Overview

The Highlander Sport is a new trim level for 2006, available as either a 4x2 or a 4x4.  The Sport finish gives the popular crossover SUV a more athletic look, and a re-tuned suspension offers more handling agility.

Both Sport models are powered by the 3.3 liter DOHC V-6, which generates 215 horsepower and 222 pound-feet of torque.  A five-speed automatic is the only transmission option for the V-6. The V-6 and 4x4 drive train combination offers 18/24 mpg fuel economy, which is the lowest of any Highlander.

The Highlander Sport is differentiated by 17 inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, a color-keyed grille, chrome exterior trim, and a special sport-tuned suspension.  Standard features include a power driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control, power accessories, and keyless entry.  A JBL sound system with eight speakers and an in-dash CD changer is an available upgrade, as is a third row of seating.
