Pros

Good in snow, but only with studded snow tires.

Cons

78k and the engine has to be pulled to replace head gaskets to the tune of $2-$3,000. Dealership admitted it is NOT uncommon. Forums reveal that it is prevalent and persists through 2011 (maybe longer). Forums reveal people's engines are not lasting and need to be replaced even after this major repair. JUNK!!!!

Any claims that this issue was resolved from 2005 onward is absolutely false!!!

Car is mediocre in every way. MY 1992 Camry did everything better. First and LAST Subaru. Good for liberal bumper stickers and not much else.

Buy Any Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Other Japanese Or Korean Car, Even A Dodge, Before A Subaru — Update: Shortly after fixing the head gasket issue, the stereo (6 CD changer)/dual zone climate control unit failed (twice!). $800 part new from Subaru, and $200+ on Ebay. Now with 84k I was just old that the exhaust system won't last beyond Spring ($1500.00). Keep in mind that have the car sprayed with either Fluid Film or Corrosion Free every year. Ridiculous. My last Nissan and Toyota went 160k+ before they needed any exhaust work. The Nissan didn't need brake pads (first anything it needed) till 79k. Over rated junk! Going this spring for someone that needs shiny platform their bumper stickers.

Pros

If you like anything to do with driving, you should drive a Subaru.... Period.

Cons

Being that it is a turbo....... and I like to drive it as a turbo should be driven, it has a thirst for Premium fuel..... but only when driven hard.

Like Every Other Subaru Owner You'll Talk To....... I Love My Car. — Alright, so it's not a Limited it's just a 2.5 GT. It must be a Canadian spec vehicle because GT Limited is the only option I could choose for 2006. What this means is that the car doesn't have leather or a sunroof. Nevertheless, what it does have is a detuned version of the WRX STi engine. It's a 2.5L DOHC Horizontally-Opposed turbocharged 4 cylinder rated at 250 HP and 250 LB-FT of torque. Power is put to the ground through a 5-speed manual and Subaru's full-time symmetrical all-wheel drive system. Simply put, this car goes like STINK. Styling is pretty subdued in the GT model though. Other than the hood scoop and 17" alloys shod with ZR rated rubber, it just looks like a regular Legacy. It's a simple, clean-cut sedan that doesn't have the "Hey look at me!" styling of the WRX. As for build quality, it's a Subaru. Panels fit evenly, doors close with a solid thud, tolerances are minimal and unforeseen mechanical problems are a rarity. Not to mention, safety ratings are top of it's class and the AWD system is quite simply one of the best on the market.

Great Car For Anyone. It's Safe, Quick And Fun. If It's For A Kid, I'd Get The Turbo. — Great car! Amazing build quality, technology, and cost for car. A little expensive, but worth it. Awesome safety features and boxer engine mounted low for a good COG. I only wish I had the turbo model...And as always, sweet AWD.

A Really Good Car — Engine, Reliability, and looks, All top A Grade! It's the Legacy with STi motor. A really enjoyable driving experience. If you are light on the gas, it will run 60 mpg, so it's easy for your wallet too! It's good also at snowy conditions because of the world's best AWD.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Comfortable to drive; 80% of mileage is highway miles; Excellent condition inside and out except for a minor scrape on left side at rear bumper; maintained by Subaru dealer; excellent handling in snow and on wet roads

Cons

There is nothing bad to say about this Subaru.

I Love My Subaru — The best thing about a Subaru is its handling on slippery roads. I never missed a day of work commuting over 50 miles one way in South Eastern Pennsylvania. The heated front seats made it especially nice in the winter and the sun roof made it wonderful in pleasant weather. The leather seats are very comfortable on long drives. This car was always garaged until moving to Florida.

2006 Spec.b Legacy Gt — number 340/500 in the world, best car ever. Build quality is great, More power than you'll ever need, but you can keep it out of boost around town, dont pay alot in insurance, but theyre about impossible to find. The most fun car i've driven, and i've driven shelby gt500s and corvettes

It's A Sleeper — I have owned this car for a number of years now, great car. No problems, very quick, handles like a dream. Thinking about 19" tires, new intake and exhaust next year. Or maybe a new STi, Subaru is a great car especially if you get one with a turbo, lots of fun.
