CarGurus Overview

For more hauling power and a little more zip behind the wheel when you go off-road, the 2006 Subaru Baja Turbo is there to the rescue.  With a turbocharged 2.5-liter, flat-4 engine, the Baja Turbo gets 210-hp to the Sport's 165.  Like the Sport, it is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.  It is outfitted similarly to the Sport, with power mirrors, windows, and locks, a sunroof, cruise control, fog lights, air conditioning, ABS brakes, and dual front airbags.  Alloy interior trim, rear defrost, a temperature display, and intermittent wipers are also standard.  For storage security and expansion, the Turbo also has a roof rack, cargo net, tie-downs, and bed liner are also all standard.
Unique to the 2006 Baja Turbo are options such as power front seats and leather upholstery.  Roof lights and a hard cover for the open bed are also optional, as is a tailgate extension.  The rear seats fold down and a divider can be removed to offer room for longer objects in the bed.  Not surprisingly, owners love the turbo power, along with the truck versatility in a vehicle that handles like a car.  A small bed, so-so gas mileage, and limited legroom are some downsides.

This overview covers the Turbo trim only.
