CarGurus Overview

The 2006 Subaru Baja Sport is the base model for this car-truck combo.  Based on an Outback platform, the Baja Sport comes with all-wheel drive, ABS brakes, and dual front airbags.  It is powered by a 2.5-liter, 165-hp, 4-cylinder engine and comes standard with a 5-speed manual or optional 4-speed automatic.  Cruise control, fog lights, a sunroof, power mirrors, doors, and locks, rear defrost, and daytime running lights are standard.  New equipment includes keyless entry and a security system.
A cargo net, bed liner, and tie-downs come with the open bed.  Roof rails provide extra storage options.  16-inch all-weather tires combine with the all-wheel drive capability for superior action on rough or weather-hampered roads.  There are no options on the 2006 Baja Sport.  Good handling, but lack of power, especially when accelerating are characteristics of the Sport.  The AWD and versatility for short-term hauling is also a benefit.

This overview covers the Sport trim only.
