A Fantastic Mid-engine Sports Car. — I owned an 04 Boxster and liked it, but I did not like the interior as it was dated especially with the new 911 interiors being released. I picked up a used 06 Boxster S last fall with only 4K miles on it. It is GT silver with a cocoa interior. It really does not have any bells and whistles, but as far as I am concerned it is meant for driving. The overall handling is fantastic, much better than the 911 in my opinion. It is like having a car on rails. A couple of things to keep in mind: 1. Visibility is poor when the roof is up, but fine when it is down. 2. They eat oil. The 911 did and so does this beast. The last thing: there are not enough corners around to truly have fun. This is a definite track car.

Pros

On road performance is second to none. Makes you look like a better driver than you are.

Cons

Cost, but when you consider the high level of engineering and design this car is priced right.

You Can Drive It Every Day Or Take It To The Track Without Voiding Your Warranty — The car can be driven every day in confort and with ease through traffic, but when in open roads reaching pass 3,000 rpm the exhaust sound changes and it accelerates with ease to 6,500 rpm in each gear. This car makes you look for twisting roads and the long way to get anywhere. This is an absolute drivers car that never fights the driver and behaves entirely predictibly. The acceleration is not neck snapping, but it is very satisfying at 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds, but more importantly when you get to a corner you can stop on a dime or more importantly you can come up to a turn an litteraly break just at the turn then you can power through the turn and exit at roughly twice the posted speed of any mountain road in California. I would have never done this with my previous Mustang with a supercharged V8. It would be absolutely scarry to accelarate through a turn. The build quality is excellent, interior and exterior trim is without rattles and they feel solid. The styling is pure Porsche, clean, simple, timeless. The top can be operated at slow speeds in 2nd gear. The cost of owning this car for 4 years has been less than the cost of owning a Honda Accord or Infiniti for the same miles and years. Two full synthetic oil changes, two brake fluid changes, one new battery and new rear tires. Tires is the most expensive cost of driving this car. If you drive it the way it begs to be driven you will spend money on tires, but you will be happy to spend the money because it will put a smile on your face each time you drive it. The fun starts the moment you wash it which you can do quickly and be on the road to your nearest mountain road diner or you local Costco (Two trunks). No matter your destination it simply will make you enjoy your drive.

Fanatastic Car — This is my brothers car but who cares a blast to drive. Classic steering feedback more than enough power, great build quality. Damn near perfect.

Great Working Car — Once you ride in this car you will never want to drive any other car, the Top down is fun and easy at a click of a botton. The ride is smooth, engine performance is good, fuel economy on highway is good. easy to maintain

Orgasmic — Great car to drive, excellent road handling and performance.Love the exterior look with the hood down and the german quality build.Fuel and maintenance is a bit on the high side, but the thrill of driving this car is worth every penny.

Just A Great Car. — I moved into this car from a 16 year old Miata. I bought this as a Certified Pre-Owned with 18,000 miles. It is warranted like a new car and looks like one too. The Boxster is way more powerful and easier to live with. It is as responsive as the Miata to steering and a great deal more stable and fun to drive. Braking is dead on, solid and strong. Even though it is a base model, acceleration is quite lively especially considering the previous car. It is a great car for long trips and for winding country roads. Uses premium fuel but gets 30mpg on a trip. Some economy car!

Fastest Car I've Driven So Far — Interior was great, love the gauges and display. Very driver oriented. Quick acceleration, really fun to toss into curves. Wish I owned it...
