Vibe - Fan Of Toyota — Best car we've ever owned. It has just shy of 100k and we haven't had to replace the brakes or anything on it at all!!! Since we've owned more GM's over the last 8 years than you can shake a stick at, this car is making me a fan of Toyota instead of GM since most of it is made by Toyota.

ProsThrifty car to operate. Have used in outside sales and found it somewhat comfortable. Car now has 98k miles. ConsDeveloped pesky, rear main oil leak that spots driveway. Do not see much change in level. A/C has compressor replaced, manifold gasket. Mediocre acceleration and somewhat noisy.

It Is Now A Bit Aged, But A Good Value. — Good value for your money if you can tolerate oil leak. It has a solid feel on the road with good feedback. A/C is mild with replacement compressor. Transmission has been solid. I now have Continental Pro Contact EcoPlus tires on front. It runs consistently 26-27 mpg mixed driving. This would be a good young driver car. Nothing Special — Fairly low amount of ponies (140?) and doesn't look all too great, but it gets from points A to B. It's nice that it's a hatch though, give's extra storage room in the trunk, especially when everyone has baggage. Lol. Primary Use: Family transportation | ||

Positive Except For Squealing Brakes When In Reverse. — I love the way the car handles; the height of the car is perfect for me, I am 5'2". However when I back up the brakes squeal. The dealer says it is normal for this car. I cannot stand it and have complained numerous times to corp. customer services. I am about to try to write to the pres. of Gm. Any suggestions? Otherwise I love driving my vibe. Primary Use: Family transportation |
