CarGurus Overview

The 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GT sedan brings back some sports performance to the lineup with a supercharged 3800 V6 that hits 260-hp, matched with a 4-speed automatic transmission.  The GT adds ABS brakes, traction control, a tire monitor, and foglights to its standard equipment, along with dual front and side airbags.  A rear spoiler and 17-inch tires adorn the exterior.  Rear seats split-fold to expand the trunk in the five-passenger sedan.

The 2006 Grand Prix GT also has a security system and a power driver's seat with power lumbar support, both upgrades to the base model. Other additions include leather trim on the shifter and wheel and wheel-mounted audio controls. Power features, keyless entry, OnStar, a CD player, and cruise control are also standard.  Extras include satellite radio, a navigation system, sunroof, CD-changer with MP3, heated leather seats, dual-zone climate control, and head airbags.  A Sport Package tacks on 17-inch alloy wheels, ground effects, and bright exhaust tips.  Owners mention the supercharged engine and acceleration power as a high point of owning a 2006 Grand Prix GT.  They wish it had a manual transmission and that the backseat was bigger.

This overview covers the GT trim only.
