G6 — This is a great car and very reliable, seats are comfortable and supportive. This car has plenty of power and has no problems merging onto the high way. The cargo space is great for a coupe and the handling is wonderful. This car is a much better deal than a camaro or mustang and does much better in the winter.

Pros

Great mileage for the G6, always starts, has been very dependable.

Cons

Several recalls, dealership does not offer loaner for recalls. Wiper Transmission bushing broke and dealership does not just sale the bushings have to buy the whole wiper transmission. I just bought a bushing set and made one fit.

Great Reliable Car With Some Maintenance That Is Difficult. — The Pontiac G6 has been a good car over all. I do most of the mechanical work myself saving thousands from dealer cost. The Pontiac has a governor. I was only able to get it up to 105 before it started to slow it down.

Good At First.....then It Sucks — I love the way it drives, its really fast and it accelerates quickly too. I love the way it looks, its so much nicer than the sedans. It was a little expensive, and its not too great on gas (only about 20-22mpg) but it has a lot of extras; like 6 disc CD changer, sunroof, the brake and gas petal move, leather heated seats and automatic start. Its so fun to drive too. That review was when I first bought the car over a year ago. Now, I haven't had any major problems with this car, but it is such a pain, I have had to take it to get the automatic strearing fixed, the brakes keep wearing out too quickly, it makes noise like the window is down if you drive over 60. I have had to take it in to have the sunroof worked on 4 different times, and its still not fixed. It leaks really bad, and now everytime it rains or is really humid out, the car smells. The leather seats look worn out, Im just ready to get rid of it. Oh also the low profile 18in wheels were very expensive to replace over $600

This Is A Great Car. All Around. It's Quick, Cheap, Good On Gas, And Very Luxurious. — This is the car my fiance chose when it was time to get her a new car. I'm proud of her, she did a pretty good job. There's so many good things about this car. We haven't had any mechanical problems with it yet. The all leather interior was immaculate. It comes factory with keyless entry, remote start, slap-shift, 17" chrome rims, and a sunroof so big it might as well be a convertible. The stereo system isn't bad either. Sounds great, comes with an in dash 6 disc CD changer. This is a very quick car for a V6. it comes with the bigger 3.5 V6, with loads of acceleration, great handling, and quick response. i took this car to the track and it ran a 16.5 stock. not bad at all for a bone stock V6. there's just not enough good things to say about this car. we are the second owners, only paid $11,200 with 39,000 miles and everything on the car was like we were the first owners.

I Love This Car — I am surprised that the gas mileage is so good for a V 6, winter driving in the cold and I am averaging 28 miles to gallon, mileage is not as good city driving but overall very good, handles very well, it has lots of get up & go power and I love the looks of the car, a fun car to drive

A Fine Little Car. — The G6 GT makes a good commuter car. Mine has been very reliable with decent gas mileage and it's fun to drive. The power steering had intermittent issues, it would quit working, from about 100,000 miles that got worse aroung 150,000 miles. Fortunately GM replaced the steering column under waraanty at 150,000 and everything is workinig good again.

This car has gotten me everywhere I wanted to go. Enough power to get out of jams, and enough fuel efficiency to help the bank account.

Cons

Pontiac is out of business. Leather is cold in Oregon.

My G6 Will Live On In My Memory As A Great Coupe. — I like the sports handling and the power that it had. I did not like the complaining I got from rear seat passengers that were taller than 5 feet tall. I did not like replacing the rotors. I especially like the manumatic shifting option.

The Best Value On The Market At The Price Point. — The combination of gas mileage and reliability coupled with an outstanding price point makes the 2006 Pontiac G6 a wonderful value. Its reliability (MSN.com/autos) is very high, and the maintenance is very low. Parts are still very easy to get through any Chevrolet or GMC dealership and they're pretty easy to fix. All in all, its the perfect car for a frugal budget!

Cons

manumatic transmission, cornering, depreciation

I'll Miss My G6 — I really liked owning this car. It looked good, drove well (was a great highway car, terrific acceleration, and awesome in the snow), got great gas mileage (I averaged 32 on most interstate drives, 25 around town), had a very usable trunk (which is a necessity in my line of work), and never once had a single mechanical issue in the 80,000 miles I put on it. Plus, the electric blue paint job looked really good with tinted windows and black interior. I didn't like the 4-speed manumatic transmission, though. It needs a fifth gear and a more responsive slap-shift. Also, the cornering was very "front-wheel-drive-GM." That being said, I would have no misgivings about recommending this car to one of my friends.

Pros

It gets good gas millage and is fun to drive. Perfect for a teenager just starting to learn to drive. As long as they can control themselves with the slapshift and 201 hp and optional traction control

Cons

Could have more hp for a 3.5 V6 and a better audio system as an option

Very Good Car. Easy To Drive And Fun. — Very fun and good car to drive all in all. I could ask for a better sound system because it doesnt sound the best but you could replace it yourself. The traction control button allows for some "fun" driving. Its one of the only FWD cars ive done an acctual burnout in
