CarGurus Overview

Pontiac ups the ante on its new G6 performance line, with a 2006 G6 GT Convertible, powered by a 3.5-liter, 201-hp V6 engine and 4-speed shiftable automatic transmission.  The front-wheel drive two-door convertible featurs a power hard top with a rear glass window.  Fog lights, dual front-side airbags, ABS brakes, traction control, and daytime running lights are standard.  Unlike the GT Sedan and Coupe, the 2006 G6 GT Convertible uses 18-inch tires.

Inside is much the same across the GT models.  A power driver's seat, power windows, locks, and mirrors, keyless entry, cruise control with controls on the steering wheel, upgraded speakers for the CD player, and intermittent wipers are all standard.  For more luxury, you can add remote start, heated leather seats, satellite radio, a CD-changer, alloy wheels, and power-adjustable pedals.  OnStar is not available in the convertible GT.  Smooth, quiet, and good handling are high points for drivers of the 2006 G6 GT Convertible.  Low points are the lack of a lockable glove box.

This overview covers the GT Convertible trim only.
