2006 Nissan Titan

The 2006 Nissan Titan is a full-size truck packed with power and performance, but also plenty of luxury and comfort features inside.  The only changes in 2006 are some extra features.  A locking differential is now optional.  Dual zone-climate control and power heated mirrors with auto-dimming capability are standard on LE, and a sunroof is optional on the Crew Cab SE.  The Towing Package (stronger battery and larger mirrors) is now available with the base XE.
Available as a regular Crew Cab with a 5.5-foot bed or extended King Cab with a 6.5-foot bed, the 2006 Titan comes in base XE, SE, and LE trims, with either 2WD or 4WD.  A flexible fuel vehicle for each trim is also offered.  There is only one powertrain, a 5.3-liter, 305-hp V8 and 5-speed automatic transmission.  While the XE sits on 17-inch wheels, 18-inch are standard on SE and above.
Two rows of seats fit four, and Nissan packs a lot of nice features you wouldn't normally associate with a truck.  The base model gets power windows and locks, air conditioning and cruise control, while the top of the line LE features power-adjustable leather seats, front captain's chairs, dual zone climate control, and auto-dimming mirrors.  There is also an available Off-Road package to accompany the 4WD option, that adds a low-gear ratio, all-terrain tires, and stronger skid plates.  A rail system in the bed allows you to attach various storage compartments or act as a bike rack.
Great towing power and cruising speed are highlights of the 2006 Titan.  Drivers say it handles less like a truck and more like a car, and the cabin is very roomy and comfortable.  The ride is smooth and they love all the standard features.  Some report rattling in the overhead console, but by far the biggest complaint is gas mileage, which is barely a consideration when you're buying a truck anyway.
