2006 Nissan Frontier Nismo 4dr King Cab 4WD SB w/automatic Review
Prosit handles great and is fun to drive until you get the tickets :) Consfor a small truck the fuel economy could be much better

If You Want A Great Small Truck With Decent Capabilities This Is The One To Buy — this is a truck that handles like a decent sports car ride is reasonably firm and it is very roll stiff. braking is decent until loaded down to the max capacity. within a few weeks of purchasing it I had a windshield crack from pressure caused by it being installed improperly but it was replaced under warranty without any problems. It has had a reocurring problem with the air bag sensor which triggers the air bag fault light. this occurs almost every winter during cold spells of - 40c it is a factory recalled problem and it has been fixed every time under warranty. this is a comfortable truck for me to drive it handles extremely well for a truck and accelerates like no other small truck I have had the pleasure to drive..it tows quite well although fuel economy goes downhill fast as the load increases. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Prospowerful Conslower than other pick-ups. bad for off road driving at terrains where height does matter

Me Baby! — performance - acceleration from static position is not as good. turbo only starts kicking in after the rpm reaches 2. you will feel the jerk once the turbo kicks in. this is obvious when in 1st gear. sudden braking at high speed would cause it to spin as it has no ABS and the weight distribution is not equal [front is heavier with engine & driver while back bucket is light unless filled with lotsa heavy stuff]. so, u have gotta be good at handling the ride. know how to maneuver when u can feel it starting to skid ;) otherwise, it's definitely the best in its class! appearance - exterior: muscular full specs with changes of rims & tyres [bridgestone's dessert dueler]. interior: had it custom ordered with airbags, installation of overhead LCD screen & change of audio system with DVD player. cost of ownership - not to burn a big hole in your pocket fun factor - a hell lot of fun to drive!

ProsThe truck is reliable, good on gas and maintenance and upkeep costs are low. ConsSuspension could be a little smoother and should only be available as a crew cab.

Great Truck!!! — One of the best vehicles I have ever owned and would by another Nissan in a minute. It has good power, handling and acceleration. I have owned the truck for 6 years and the body still looks great and it has no signs of rust on it. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Most Fun Truck I've Driven!!! — I have no complaints about this truck or any Nissan for that matter!!!!! Fit and finish is far better than any competitors, the factory Bilsteins are great! It is a blast to drive!! Not the fastest thing out there but definitely not the slowest!!!!! only downside is the kinda plain interior, but thats an easy fix with a few hours of work!!! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Good For Work/of Roading-- Too Harsh For Traveling Long Distances — i like the car. its a good sturdy and powerful pickup. its small on the inside, especially the back seat. good cargo space and power. the interior design is bad--- not enouhg cup holders. the ashtray are wierd. no cubby holes to put things Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsMINE. You can't drive it. ConsIf your kids are over 6 feet tall, the back seat will prove to be awful tight

Will Drive It Until Nissan Redisigns The Frontier. Then I'll Wait A Year And Buy Another One. — Four years old on 10/17/09, 102K on the odometer. 265-hp Nissan VQ engine purrs like the day I drove it from the dealer's lot. Six-speed stick: the ONLY way to travel, and the clutch engages exactly where it did when it was new. 21 MPG is amazing for this truck. Won't let me down in a muddy cornfield, does whatever I ask of it. Best vehicle I've ever owned. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsHorse power, transmission, towing and payload Conslow end torque, visibility, turning radius

2006 Frontier Se — First off its the 6 speed, which isn't an option on the trim level. The interior is plane and 100% cheap plastic, but thats why it was 3k less than a Tacoma. The VQ40de makes no torque below 1500rpm, but at proper rpm it can tow a boat or another car easily enough. My biggest complaint is the suicide rear doors. They create a huge blindspot and serve no purpose. The back seat is comically small, so small I would never dream of putting passengers back there. Thus what is the purpose of the 2nd set of doors? Turning radius is terible. Infact its worse than my dad's yucon XL.

My Southarn Pride "the Truck" — Very stable on the road. ABS is very active get engaged very often for me. Inside and out is tough looking. Excellent suspension, awsome gas millage about 17/18 mpg on highways. No maintance was done yet other than oil change. Only drawback is engine noise, a little loud. |
