The Clutch Is Really Smooth. — The Lancer 2006 ES is very reliable. With 120hp @3600 rpm, it's the perfect car for a college student like me, whose use is go to and from school, long trips, around town, and so on. You can't expect it to be like a high performance car. but I'm really satisfied because of it's good handling, effective ABS on snow/ice, smoothness on the road, and the clutch!!! You must love the clutch on this one. The downside is, I could appreciate it more if the fuel economy was better... the maximum I could squeeze ou of my mileage was 6.54L per 100km.... and that was mostly night driving (and with a standard transmission) Overall, I am pretty satisfied with what I have. =)

My One And Only Love Of My Life! — this car is the apple of my eye! i swear! in pearl white and black tinted windows this car looks soo mean! yes the newer lancers are out and damn there sey to but i wouldnt trade this car in for the world!....power everything including AC,and is a stick shift! i bought it brand new and still gives me that feeling of brand new every day! if you like it go check out south side mitsubishi and check them out...not only r the rates decent but they have 0% financing for as long as you like...not to mention the best backed cars in canada! | ||

ProsIt's lightweight and after you turbo, the power to weight ratio is awesome. Handles nice after a few basic mods, easy to drive, responsive and fun to drive. Gear box is awesome, nice and solid feel, and pretty short throws, lightweight rims, suepr easy to work on and takes mods fairly well. Consback seats are small, no heated seats, rear drum brakes (braking sucks once you add more power), annoying ABS in the snow, it's too sensative.

Slow Untill You Turbo! — For the price, at the time it was well equiped and cheap. Good reliable car with no problems and has power everything. Downside is not even a month after buying it, the 2008 Lancer models were available and those are a much better deal. Way more options and standard features, overall look is nicer and more agressive, bigger, better fuel economy, bigger engine...overall the 2008's are better. Don't buy a pre 2008 lancer.... | ||

ProsAwesome power that is very responsive and handling that works better the harder you push it. Simply an amazing ride. ConsCrappy red paint that has hundreds of chips, the hood and bumper looked like crap when the car only had 10,000 km on it and Mitsubishi did not warranty defective paint.
