ProsGreat familiy car with a lot of room. Allows our young family to grow. ConsTurning radius is a problem for the wife.

Amazing Car You Would Expect From A Mercedes — This car is exactly what we were looking for a family of 5. The design and style is classic Mercedes. Each seat is comforable, handles like a dream, and the family travels comfortable, safe, and stylish. I would highly recommend this vehicle to family and friends. Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsAWD, Solid Build, 22mpg freeway ConsModerate City MPG

You Won't Regret Driving Or Owning An R-class — All wheel drive, comfortable, well appointed, rare (less than 100K on the road in US), plenty of power, great travel car. Came from 4 Chrysler minivans, this is easily twice the car in every aspect except raw storage space. Very worth a look. Primary Use: Family transportation

Prosstyling Consmaintenance cost

8 Out Of 10 — Beautiful styling for what constitutes a "minivan". Third row seating is spacious and luxurious.I don't like the fact that you have to take it in to a professional to change a light bulb. Also, if the Panoramic roof has issues your looking at an $1,800 fix Be aware.

ProsComfortable, fast, quiet, high quality trim, tons of options, massive space and great vision and seating. ConsMaintenance costly, less reliable than a Mercedes should be. V8 engine immense, but no longer available in the R Class.

Stylish, Fast, Comfortable Sports Crossover — Liked seating, trim, options, speed, ride, quality of build and looks. Economy could be better but pretty good on a long run. Loves long distances and eats up the miles on my Seattle to Spokane runs. Tires are quiet, great grip and low noise, but I only use Michelin, which are almost $350 each, but still expensive.

ProsStorage , navigation , sound system . Consmaintenance on the higher side.

Practical — Nice vehicle overall , well equipped from factory. if possible avoid the one with the sky view sunroof ( too many issues ) . Navigation works great , sound system is superb , nice room on second row of seats, not so much for the third row. This a nice option for people that do not like mini vans .

ProsGreat for Family, cargo and Long Road Trips! ConsNone

My Favorite Vehicle To Drive — I love this car! From the comfort of the seats to it's ability to take on the snow and the open roads. It has dvd players for the kids and beautiful sounding speakers to rock out to. While on road trips, the car loves the highway. I had to check my speed often as this girl likes to go. The cruise control is a must for road trips. I was doing 100 mph and it didn't feel as such! The car handles nicely. I feel safe and secure driving the kids around. I would like to add a back up camera as it's a little long but not too bad. Love that it automatically adjusts for steep incline/declines on it's on. Amazing vehicle with the horse power to match. This is not a mini van at all!! Love my sports wagon. Primary Use: Family transportation

Prosgreat car, utility, appearance, safety, value Conscan't think of one?

L-o-v-e I-t! — I love my R-Class & the fact that it's not a station wagon or mommy van (yuck)! It's comfy, lot's of utility, not a monstrosity like those hunks of unrefined metal made by American & Asian automakers. My R-Class was purchased because we needed something that would comfortably fit our two sons & dog, all of which are quite large. We 've had it for almost 4 years now & although I'm due for an upgrade & not sure if I'll be heading to my MBZ dealer. Primary Use: Family transportation

Prosroominess Conslarge and not the AMG version
45
Great Commuter Hauler And For Long Trips — The 3.6 l V-6 is strong for a 6, braking is good and the uphill brake lock is fantastic to prevent downhill slide. The roominess is the best in class. i can sit in the back seat at 6'2" Milage is not great because of the engine to weight ration but still gets about 21 combined. DVD with wireless headphones keeps children quiet on long trips. 3 zone air. 6 adults to meeting commutes is great and aback two rows fold for transporting "stuff" Primary Use: Family transportation |
