Pros

Fun, practical, and fast.

Cons

Stiff clutch if its a early 06 model. The turbos are known to go bad and smoke.

For The Price No Other Car Even Comes Close To Comparing To This Car. — Performance - Car drives and handles great. Plenty of power. AWD helps slippery situations. Also this car stops on the dime. 12.5" rotors front and rear. I have added hawk racing brake pads. The car handles pretty good. I have it dropped on tein springs. The ride isnt too stiff at all and thats the downside of its handling. There is a lot of un-needed body roll when pushing it hard through turns. Nothing a stiffer coilover setup wont take care of. The clutch in this car is very catchy and takes patience everytime you drive it. Also the gear box is rather notchy. Build quality - Average. Lots of queaks and rattles inside and outside the car. I do have all solid and added motor mounts. The balance shaft has been removed from the bottom of the motor. This added a lot of vibs as well. Idle had to be increase to 1100 to counter act this. Appearance - Exterior looks great. I added a few exterior mods to the outside. Interior is great. Fit and fiinish is nice. Seats are pretty comfortable. Also has adjustable steering wheel. Cost of ownership - Not too bad. just normal matienance. I change the oil early with amsoil 5w-40 synthetic. Started it early at 30k miles. Gas mileage is 19-21mpg depending on driving habbits. I have only been to the dealer a few times. Once was for the a/c compressor pulley going bad. Once for a bent rear axle. My last visit was for the clutch tsb which was replaced for free under warranty. Clutch is a lot smoother. Fun factor - The car is a blast to drive. It acts just like a normal car in every day driving. But as soon as you want to push it hard it gets excited.

Pros

Everything

Cons

Nothing, except maybe the cost of fuel, if you're a lead foot.

Balanced, In Every Way. — Ridiculous performance. Even with AWD and dynamic stability control it still wants to break traction and can give a little bit of power oversteer in the wet. Appearance? Well these things are always subjective, but I think it's sex on wheels. Can quite easily get over 500km out of the 65Lt tank, but when you start putting your foot down and using all the 190kw it can chew the juice pretty quick. Fun to drive? Whadda you reckon? It's the perfect balance of luxury and performance and will give a LOT of cars a run for their money.

Awd, 6 Speed & Turbo — Great family car with BOOST, Classy & sporty styling. The AWD 6 speed drivetrain makes for a great platform along side the 2.3 DIZI Turbo powerplant. Decent aftermarket support & plently of mid level performance capabilities. Good handling car out the box, Great interior layout.

Mazdaspeed 6 Thumbs Up :) — I love this car, it's very well built. Very powerful, 280 horses and doesnt feel like it, although it does need better brakes, and tires dont last very long either if u use it as a daily driver. But other than that it's great :)

Mazdaspeed6 — Best car I have ever owned. Never had an issue with quality or any engine problems. The turbo 2.3L goes with the 6-speed transmission and AWD very well. This car never misses a beat and I would not rather have any other car on earth. Mazdaspeed6, the most fun car you will ever own.

Grade-a For Awesome — I like the acceleration, the handling, and the overall look of this car. Lowered with a cat back sounds real nice. ECU wakes this thing up in the upper RPM's The blow off valve is a nice gimmic also. Handles wake up with a good set of coilovers. The Front mount intercooler is a must

My Zoom-zoom! — No dislikes here except it could have more horsepower if they would have turboed the 3.0L instead of the 2.3L! This car is a blast to drive, (so far no speeding tickets, knock on wood.) Interior could have been a little more luxorious but its a perfect sleeper car!

Pros

You can't afford an M5.

Cons

You care about resale value.

Zoom-zoom To Tha Maxxx, But With A High-entry Fee, Up And Down Performance, And A Pricey Exit. — The Mazdaspeed6. Perhaps Mazda's last car for a while to put the zoom-zoom into a full size car. Reviewers gave it stellar reviews back in it's intro in 2005. All the specs were there: electronically- controlled AWD, Direct Injection 4-cylinder turbo, a close-ratio 6-spd manual, limited-slip differential, and plenty more. Enough to put it, at least on paper, into the top 'super-sedans' of the time. Some even likened it to a poor-man's M5. True, it was - but not without it's drawbacks. The inevitable Evo/STi comparisons were done, it was then realized that the Speed6 was considered more of 'grand-tourer', the speed was there - but not without compromise for comfort.
