The Is 250 — Well the things I like make this car seem like the opposite of what I use to want. It has very very limited after market parts so I won't want to build it up. Yet it is still sporty with a pep in its step. It is agile for an awd and gets alright gas mileage at about 28mpg on the highway. Four doors means easier to get people in and out. The overall of this car is a good lux/sport hybrid with a base model price. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Gas Milage — This vehicle stands out as a clear performance and luxury vehicle. It has class and the ability to get up and go when needed. I would recommend the vehicle to anyone looking for a fun ride at a reasonable price. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsSuperb styling, spectacular handling, great highway mileage, extremely comfortable up front (even for us big people!) all at an amazing pricepoint! ConsSmall backseat (more than 2 people on a long trip (more than 3-4 hrs) would be uncomfortable (unless you;re really tiny), headlights could be brighter and navigation isn't standard (the one thing I wish I had splurged on!).

A Great Combination Of Luxury Trim And Sporty Feel At An Amazing Pricepoint! — I initially wanted to get the manual transmission, but went with the automatic with AWD and am SO glad that I did. This car handles amazingly well in all weather conditions and treats snow as if its asphalt, it made my trip to Vermont last year a breeze! It gets great Highway mileage (around 30mpg on trips doing between 70 and 80 mph) but if you're like me and hammer down on teh pedal around town it won't be so good (16-20mpg). I haven't really found any glaring issues thus far and really love driving this car!

ProsThe traction control is a little rough around the edges but the sport mode is where it's at. I haven't gotten to test the built in snow mode yet. ConsNothing.

Great Car Would Recommend To Anyone. — Not roomy enough if you have kids who still use a car seat. Overall it is a great car had very few problems since new and what did go wrong was fixed with no hassles at Sewell Lexus of Grapevine under warranty. Have not had any issues in the past three years. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsRefined, economical, and well specced even in the base trim. ConsLexus parts prices aren't cheap, and the dealers prices aren't either! The warranty company will also look for any reason to avoid warranty work...

Great Car, Perfect For Everyday Family Motoring. Snow Tyres Are A Must Though ;) — Love it, does everything I ask of it, even in the middle of winter despite it's RWD drivetrain. For a diesel it's pretty quick, and it does it economically too; drive it on the motorway and you can easily see 55mpg+, around the doors it's still 35mpg+. It's fun to drive, and the RWD nature doesn't try to bite back at you at all, it's still nice and easy to drive, and fun too. Primary Use: Family transportation

Great Looking Vehicle But Not As Fun To Drive As Others It Its Class. Some Annoying Defects. — Great looking car with nice interior and great radio. Some issues: Broken/missing parts in the sunroof and dash, wheels delaminated after 2 years (the dealer tells me that this is common on Lexus), car arrived with front spoiler installed incorrectly. It's been in the shop 15 times in 3 years. Interestingly, when I expressed dissatisfaction with various aspects of the car in a Lexus customer satisfaction survey, nobody got back to me. The dealership has returned the car to me after servicing with greasy hand prints on the light grey cloth headliner and pillars a number of times. Once, when the car was in to get snow tires installed they lost my summer tires - permanently. It took more than 4 months to resolve this. The car replaced my old 2002 Mercedes C230 coupe. The Merc was less expensive and substantially outperformed the Lexus. The Mercedes dealership/service experience was also better. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Beautiful And Reliable — Performed well on track for me. Interior is absolutely stunning and ahead of its generation. Performance is powerful yet quiet and subtile. Absolutely a fun car to drive with. Way cheaper than any BMW or Mercedes Benz. Definately a good and safe choice. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |
