2006 Land Rover Freelander Review
ProsNever had any hassles with car, it was a get up and go car. ConsTires were very expensive, R 2500,00 a tire, only Freelander and Mercedes Sprinter used the 225/55/r17 tire.

Best Car Ever, Power, Feul Economy Very Good, 38 Miles To The Galon. — Road holding was good, performance was good, seating was good, traction control fantastic, sprinting very good for a diesel. The car always got compliments for good looks. Very comfortable to drive over long distances, you did not have to work to keep the car on the road like other vehicles. Never tired when you drove long distances. The doors of the car was solid, you got a sturdy thud when you close a door. Door open indicator very good when you drive with open door or when you lock and a door is open the alarm will make warning sound. Repair cost was the same as any other road going vehicle, so that was not a big problem. The car was absolute fun to drive. Rear door glass what went down when you open the door not good, glass got jammed a few times in frame. Blind spot behind vehicle therefore sensors in rear bumper very important to warn you of objects behind vehicle. The door handles that you closed the door, the pain on them started to come of at about 40000 kms I think they should look at the quality of the paint on door handles. Problem you can turn car if engine is of, should have like to have a electric motor for power steering so you could at least turn car if the engine is off. Radiator water bottle on top of right hand shock, tend to weaken the rubber under bottle, had to replace shock mount one time because rubber disintegrated because of heat. Primary Use: Family transportation |

Freelander Td4 Sport Premium — Like: Everything, particulary the Intelligent & silky smooth Auto Box, Stereo is fantastic, hot seats are superb, steering supurbly weighted, handling very good for an off roader, comfort superb, driving position superb, versatility superb, off road ability, also superb, keeps up with the bigger Landy's... Dislike: None Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |
