2006 Infiniti QX56 Trims

4dr SUV

Avg. Price: $16,994

The sole distinction between the two QX56 variants is the drive train. This entry-level model is rear-wheel drive, and retails for $3000 less than the AWD QX. Towing capacity is greater here however, at 9000 pounds.

Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, heated front and second-row bucket seats, a ten-way power driver seat, an eight-way power passenger seat, power-adjustable pedals, a memory system for the driver seat, wood and aluminum interior trim, heated power mirrors, keyless entry, a Bose AM/FM radio with an in-dash six-disc CD changer, a navigation system, a rearview camera, and a universal garage door opener.

Buyers may also add an optional tow package, a rear seat DVD entertainment system, satellite radio, a power sunroof, and radar cruise control.

4dr SUV 4WD

Avg. Price: $17,206

For an additional $3000, QX buyers can opt for this AWD version. The only distinction between this model and the RWD QX is the inclusion of Infiniti's All-Mode all-wheel drive system. This system may be locked in rear-wheel drive, 4-wheel High, or 4-wheel Low An "Auto" setting selects 2WD or 4WD as needed.

The AWD may pull down fuel economy slightly, but neither QX is particularly fuel efficient. Mixed driving averages are reported around 12 mpg.

Key options include a rear seat DVD entertainment system, a sunroof, and adaptive cruise control.
