Pros

Spacious, versatile, handles great in bad weather, comfortable for short and long trips, super reliable.

Cons

Gas tank too small, windshield wipers don't have enough speeds, mileage could be better.

Best. Car. Ever. — Reliable, safe, substantial, comfortable. Not the most peppy car, but considering it's a 4-cylinder, it does pretty well. Never had any problems with it. All the safety features I wanted (traction/stability control, ABS, EBD, AWD, side airbags).

Pros

Practical, reliable and good selection of standard features. AWD system is capable. It's obviously not a full fledged off roading 4 Wheel Drive but its off road capabilities are surprising. Tows my motorcycle, kids and luggage through the smokie mountians very well.

Cons

Front seats are tolerable but not comfortable. Everyone who owns a 1st or 2nd gen CRV feels the same way. Fuel mileage is not as good as I had hoped. Most of my driving is interstate commute at 70mph and I consistently get 24mpg. Best ever was 26mpg on a long trip at 55 to 60 mph.

Extremely Reliable And Repair Free For 178,000 Miles. — First and only brand new car I have ever purchased. It's an EX model with lots of standard features but lacks interior details that a comparable Chevy or Ford would have that make them look nicer. Can't beat the reliability of a Honda. I've bought 1 battery, replaced front and rear pads, changed spark plugs and serpentine belt in the 8 years and 178,000 miles. Hard to describe the front seats. They aren't bad but they aren't comfortable either. And everyone who owns a CRV seems to agree on that point. Rear seats are awesome! Cargo room is great. Towing is adequate. It's not a trail riding, rock climbing off road vehicle. But it's capabilities are surprising.

Great For Family Or An Active Lifestyle. — I was a coach and always had more than enough room to carry equipment and players. My kids are grown now and looking to downsize. But I am going to miss driving the CRV. If you have never had one, you are in for a treat.

Pros

For one, its the turning ratio. The straight line acceleration is sick even for a 2.4 litre 4 cylinder.

Cons

The interior is mostly plastics and lacks a luxurious touch at least.

The Best Honda Suv Yet! — When you live in a humid climate, the last thing you want to encounter is sweating in your own car! This is where the Honda comes first....the Air Conditioner (clearly the only thing we people consider first in the Gulf!) The Chassis may seem spoilable at first, especially on road-legal speeds but don't be fooled; on a twisty road, your in for a roller coaster ride! All in all, it is still better than a Land Rover, trust me! The turning ratio is awesome. Put in the great Straight-line acceleration and you got yourself a mini-lambo (metaphorically). Haven't been able to test it for it's full potential yet. But will let you know once i do... Oh, and avoid going Off-road with it....it's not meant to take all that pressure. It's just given the name of an SUV...it ain't really one!

2006 Honda Cr-v — This is more the wifes car then mine. But I do get a chance to drive it once in a while. This is the base model EX without four wheel drive. It gets around well in the snow very well. Like Hondas base models come very well equipped, with cruise control, AC, VSA. Get this is even has a table in the back just incase you need to play Texas Holdem while on the road :)

Peppy Lil Guy — Took a test drive and liked the drive. Coming from a V8 so this is will be an adjustment. Has good acceleration, picked up well.Found an 06 with only 65,000 miles. Purchasing now so will update later as I get more comfortable with it .

Pros

Great gas mileage.  Good ride.  Decent power for a four cylinder.  Lots of cargo space.  AWD is great in the winter.

Cons

Only con is it is an LX model so does not have all the "bells and whistles".

A Really Great Mid-sized Suv — We brought the car for my wife in 2008. Previous owner put 76,000 miles on it in two years driving for business so almost all highway miles, so we knew we were getting a good used vehicle. Super reliable and had plenty of room for her to haul stuff around. Gas mileage is great and plenty of zip for a four cylinder engine.

Love This Car — I love the Honda CRV. Reliable, excellent on snow and ice. Good gas mileage. Lots of cargo/trunk space. Has held its value above my expectations. Has almost 200,000 miles and has had no major problems. Great car for anyone!

Exceelent Reliability — This has been the finest car I have ever owned. It never once failed to start and was impressive in winter weather. I would not allow my daughter to drive a car that was unreliable or had mechanical issues, she attends a college far from home. I fell she is safe everytime she drives it.
