2006 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Crew Cab AWD 5.8 ft. SB
Available only in all-wheel drive, the 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Crew Cab AWD packs plenty of power, performance, and utility into a family-friendly pickup. It comes with a center differential, 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires, and 8.7 inches of ground clearance, but the Denali lacks low-range gearing for off-roading ability. 20-inch wheels and a heavy-duty suspension are available. A 6.0-liter, 345-hp V8 is paired with a 4-speed automatic and gets 380 ft-lbs of torque at 4,000 RPM. Towing power reaches 8,100 pounds with the optional trailer hitch. Tow hooks are standard.
A full-size interior seats five in two rows, with a split-folding rear bench and optional sliding rear window. The pickup bed is 5.8 feet long. Dual front airbags, 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, automatic headlights, foglights, auto-dimming mirrors, mirrors with turn signals, and a tire monitor are all standard. However, the 2009 Sierra 1500 Denali receives only three and four stars in frontal impact tests.
Well stocked, this half-ton pickup offers full power features, power front seats with driver's memory, wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, remote entry, leather upholstery and trim, heated front seats and mirrors, a security system, intermittent wipers, a trip computer, and a compass and temperature readout. The CD changer and satellite radio come with rear audio controls and headphone jacks. The Denali also offers front and rear climate control. The few options left include a DVD player, sunroof, and OnStar.
