Not much changed for GMC's passenger van in 2006.  This model could carry the whole A-Team and Mr. T's extended family depending on whether you choose an 8, 12, or 15 passenger version.  The Savana comes in 5 trims: the 1500, 1500 AWD, 2500, 3500, and 3500 Extended.  In addition, the passenger van offers four different powertrains: a 4.3 L, 195 hp V6, 4.8 L, 285 hp V8, 5.3 L, 295 hp V8, or 6.0 L, 300 hp V8.  All four engines have 4 speed automatic transmission.

Expect to get 14 mpg in the city and 19 on the highway.  The 2006 GMC Savana has 3 doors and max towing capacity of anywhere from 6100 to 9800 lbs. depending on which trim you choose.  Cargo capacity comes out to 217 cubic feet in the regular trims and stretches out to an impressive 253 cubic feet in the 3500 Extended.

Overall, drivers like how the 2006 Savana has versatile seating configurations and capable powertrain choices.  However, they wouldn't mind improved handling and nicer interior materials.  In a small market for true vans, the 2006 GMC Savana has enough features and style for anyone who needs to transport the whole clan.
