Truck Upgrade — Ride is pretty smooth for 3/4 ton truck. Looks sharp and with the Lariat option sweet interior. Truck could use some power under the hood, it does weigh 3 tons. Hope it will last a long time, other family members that have owned same model over all pleased.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

2006 Ford F-250 Lariat — I love this truck but thank God the gas prices have come way down since I purchased it. It would cost a fortune to drive at the $3.50 - $ 4.00 a gallon prices we have had in recent years. This truck is great for pulling my camper which is the main reason for buying it.

Cons

Tough And Comfortable At The Same Time. — Every sensor that indicates a failure seems to stop the vehicle until replaced or cleaned. Very difficult to diagnose problems with portable computer analyzers. I ask a question and it seems like it is a guarded secret with Ford to give the answer. They want to repair it but don't want to say HOW they did it. It is very worrisome.

Pros

Tough, solid, build.  Loves mud. :)

Cons

Expensive air filter, lack of creature-features such as seat warmers, power folding mirrors, and such.

No Regrets — It drives like a truck because it is a truck. That's not an issue with me. Sure, creature-features are a miss, but still, I love this truck. Two years later, I'm still loving it. My only major negative is that the air filter costs almost $100! And Ford wants it replaced every 10,000 miles! You're crazy, right? K&N, baby.

Pros

Awesome accel, city and highway.

Cons

Cheep feeling interior compared to the f150s i driven.

How Many Diesels Do Dry Burnouts? — The 4x4 worked pretty good, but not enough clearance got the frame hung up at several jobsites. Drove nice, used it once with a dual axel trailer with my car on it and still had descent accel and power on hills while in tow mode.

F250 — Overall i hated driving this truck. Performance wise it was dog slow, but it did have the 5.4L engine. As far as reliability i didnt have any issues other than the throttle sticking when pushed in fully which may be dangerous in a faster verhicle. I didnt like the look because the chrome that came stock was very "plasticy" up close.

Buy It You Won't Regret It Till You Try To Park Downtown — I love my truck as it is a head turner and is fully loaded with all the toys. Its great at plowing snow and alot of fun off roading with. With the dvd in the front and rear its great for long road trips.

Pros

Good stock ground clearance. Awesome brakes. Heavy duty springs for loaded meandering. Transmission in haul mode down shifts on its own.

Cons

Less than 12 mpg on ave. fully loaded. Can't see over the massive hood on descents. Smallish fuel tank for places like Big Bend NP or Death Valley.

Great Overland Adventure Vehicle — We leave this truck parked in the driveway for weeks at a time and then wham! it's off to the Grand Canyon or N. Padre Island. Rugged, reliable and small enough to park anywhere, we have been some awesome places in this truck.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Best work trucks I have found.  We tow cargo trailers or 10klb open trailers daily.  Can pull anything, stopping anything is another story.

Cons

Breaking is good on lighter loads, heavier loads will get your heart and brakes pumping. Great work truck, not a great riding truck. Diesel injectors clog frequently.

Little Haus — Truck has been an overall great work truck. No major problems except for normal wear and tear. Will haul just about anything. Breaking heavier items is a bit slow. Rides like a work truck, if you want a comfortable ride buy a gmc.

Great Truck For Your Money — The look of this Truck is good, it is very comfortable to take on long trips. The quality of the build is alright it could use more room in the engine compartment so you can work on it easier. The maintainance costs are a little spendy but it is worth it if you are completing them on a reagular basis. The performance of the truck is awesome it has enough power to pull a 26 foot toy hauler out to a remote camping spot.

Primary Use: Commuting to work
