Have money to spare for fuel and need a slightly over-sized grocery-getter?  The Ford Expedition gets 14/17 city/highway, and has plenty of room to store Cheerios, cabbage, and assorted salty snacks.

The 2006 Expedition features a 300-horsepower, 5.4-liter V8 engine in a variety of trims, ranging in price from $32,600 to just over $45,000.  Improvements for the 2006 model include 40 extra horsepower, and new vibration-reducing styling.  It is a very safe SUV, having received five stars in crash tests.
